The Official Launch of Xixili's Green Bosom Bra Recyling Campaign!


Last few weeks I attended the Official launch of Xixili's Bosom Bra Recycling Campaign and revealing their brand ambassador Miss World Malaysia 2010 Nadia Heng at their flagship store in Pavilion.

Puan Wan Hasmah who officiated the ceremony said that the Green Bosom Bra Recycling campaign hopes to encourage young ladies to be sensible when purchasing quality products and become green warriors by donating used or unused bras to any Xixili Stores.



Ms Joanne Khoo Brand Founder and CEO of Xixili Intima came in the pretty green dress said that there are some women out there that may not be so fortunate and the price of a new bra may be out of reach and she hopes that with this Green Bosom Bra Recycling Campaign Xixili can able to instill the concept of bra recycling in the minds of women from all walks of life.



Nadia Heng the newly appointed ambassador for Xixili shared that Recycling is advocated within society for almost everything under the sun, but when it comes to recycling undergarments it is almost unheard of and hopes that through Xixili more people will be more aware of that recycling undergarments could actually helps those unfortunate women out there.



Present to lend support for this meaningful event were the local famous celebrities Amber Chia, Charmaine Poo, Cassandra Patrick and Liyana Fizi

Datuk Jimmy Choo was there to to support for good cause too!!! And actually the night before this event I saw him from far in the Stylo - The Glass Slipper Gala Night , and didn't know I will see him in person in Xixili's event. He is very down to earth and friendly even though he is the man who designed the late Princess Diana's shoes!!


p/s: How I wish if he could design a pair of stilettos for me one day *dreaming mode*!!

Why not you too become a Green Warrior to protect our Mother Earth

From 8th to 30th April 2011, you can start donating By donating old bras/unused bras(as long they are in wearable conditions) to Xixili where they will channel it to the unfortunate and disadvantaged community or to disaster relief centers locally or at the national level. They will work closely with the Department of Women's Welfare on understanding the scope of needs for our onward activities for the future.



To give encouragement on this embarking this recycling mindset, every bra brought in for recycling, Xixili will give out a RM10 rebate for a new bra!!!!


So basically you just trade in your old unused bra and get a new one for a RM10 rebate!!


And I bought the Green Bosom range to replace my old bras!

Did I mentioned to you girls I am a big fan of Xixili bras since my friend Sasa recommended them to me 3 years ago ! They are comfy, pretty and affordable!



All women out there give your old wearable bras 2 product life cycle, let them be of use to another needy another women !!!

Don't let these unused old bras have unnecessary early abandonmemnt or disposal!!

  1. Giving away old bra so others can wear it? sound not so hygienic.
    And I thought bra only have about 6 months to 1 year life span how to recycle and reuse it?

  2. Supia: I understand your concern. This old bras that Xixili received it will be filter and will be wash properly and repair before they send it to the places where these women cannot get bras to wear especially after disaster.. Such as at the crisis relief centre after flood or earthquake. A good bra can last longer depends how you take care (eg handwash)and sometimes due to hormone change,old wearable bra don't suit us well anymore. So these can be give away for good cause, like how people give away their old t-shirt. Last time when I was young and shy to try my own bras, my mum get it for me and sometimes get the wrong size,so these new bras also can be given away for good cause :)
