Yes, Laughter is the best medicine!

According to some researchers "Laughter is the best medicine" because it triggers the happy cells in our body! Laughter is s infectious. The sound of roaring laughter is far more contagious than any cough, sniffle, or sneeze. When laughter is shared, it binds people together and increases happiness and intimacy. 

Do you know laughter also triggers healthy physical changes in the body. We stretch muscles throughout our face and body, our pulse and blood pressure go up, and we breathe faster, sending more oxygen to our tissues. People who believe in the benefits of laughter say it can be like a mild workout and it may offer some of the same advantages as a workout. And apparently laughter appears to burn calories, too! 

So if want to have thinner face, laugh more lah ! But hor I been laughing all my life, but it doesn't work lohhhhh! 

Do you know this guy? He is no other than Harith Iskander who is the funniest man in Malaysia who would you make you laugh like nobody business!

Synonymous to the government’s effort of promoting brotherhood and camaraderie amongst fellow Malaysians, Harith the Godfather of stand-up comedy said his vision is for Malaysians is to come together for one night under one roof to display the strength of who we are and what we stand for as Malaysians - Unity, Moderation and Oneness. In conjunction with World Mental Health Day 2014 with the the aim to spread the “1Malaysia” spirit, Harith would be putting his best performance on 29th October at Stadium Putra Bukit Jalil with the aim to make MALAYSIANS LAUGH OUT LOUD!

The show aptly given the title “Harith Iskander…To know Malaysia is to LAUGH MALAYSIA!”, promises to be the biggest night of stand-up comedy in Malaysia and will also feature new talents in the Malaysian comedy scene as well as other seasoned international comedians.

Dr Jason Leong who is a doctor turns comedian would be guest speaker for that night! Have seen him performed before a few years ago and now is a Certified Laughing Doctor because .... he is going to prescribed us with laughter as medicine! Besides him, we going to have special guest Papa CJ – one of India’s most influential comedians to be on the show!

As a lead up to this concert Harith is presently on his first International Tour covering six countries – Singapore, Indonesia, India, Australia, Hong Kong and South Korea – aptly titled “The Godfather of Malaysian Comedy International Tour 2014”. In each of these countries Harith has successfully and proudly flown the Malaysian flag in front of a truly international audience. He is now ready to bring that back home in front of his own people.

I was really excited to find out during the press conference that there would be new materials presented on the stage as well as some classic “best of” and with a mixture of interactive visuals and live music. Harith with more than 22 years of experience to his name, also aims to bring a new and exciting edge to his performance. The topics will be a mixture of daily observations about what makes Malaysia ‘tick’ told in the indomitable and distinctive Harith Iskander's style. Yay let's us support our own local talents! 

In the past I have attended a few Harith Iskander's show and seriously I love his shows because he made me laugh real hard! And occasionally when I was having a bad day, I just went to Youtube to watch his show to cheer myself up! What set him apart from other comedians is that his joke is really localized for the audience where as a Malaysia we can connect to it!

Apart from that, I was glad to find out that there are big hearted Malaysian corporations that have stepped up to support this event under the LAUGH MALAYSIA Umbrella namely Celcom First, Sime Darby Foundation, Seremban 2, MTT Priority and Pemandu. To make the show even more meaningful, percentage of profits from ticket sales will be channeled to OrphanCARE, a charitable NGO that strives to place abandoned children in homes with loving families.

Now I'm really looking forward to attend “Harith Iskander…To know Malaysia is to LAUGH MALAYSIA!” show to listen to his new material!!!

Have you seen any coffee table that has a design like this before ? Not for me!

I named this "transformer coffee table" because this table design consist of an elevated table top and a side drawer. Elevated table top provides options of using it as writing or eating table. So cool right? 

Last Saturday I woke up early to to check out Stanzo Collection official launch in 1 Mont Kiara. I am always on the hunt for new furniture for our home that was renovated last year. The above transformer table is one of my favorite piece that I really like and the price is surprisingly reasonable considering it's design.

I love this bookcase design and colour!!! I think instead of filling up with books, I would prefer to display with souvenirs I collected from my travel adventure. RM5299 for this... hmm....should I get this ?

I love this living room settle up by Designer AfroditiKrassa in collaboration with Stancco Songdream Collection.

"Bedroom" concept room

I think is is my favoueite bedframe and can add in side table  to have breakfast on bed!

I spotted this unique dressing table where it comes with a lift-up mirror. All made of medium-density fibreboard (MDF) with walnut veneer and leather interior! I would totally get this if the surface is bigger because I like to display more like show off and admire my beauty stuff on my table! 

Spotted some colourful bean chair..  not only it looks in style but it's really comfortable too!

Most of the furniture showcased in Stanzo Collection looks really cosy and modern to me! I'm sure you will be thinking that these furniture piece show must be really expensive considering the location of this store is in Mont Kiara. I was really surprised  to find out that the pricing were more reasonable than I thought as each of Stanzo's collection is sourced from the highest quality when it comes to design. 

I am now thinking if I should get the "transformer coffee table" or not.. it's RM2419 if I remembered correctly!

It's nice to catch up with blogger friends at the launching! Took all the pictures here using HTC One M8 camera... the pictures quality turns out to be quite nice that I can actually leave my dlsr camera at home for a while.
