Lancome The Little Black Bottle Exhibition and the launch of Advance Genifique Yeux Youth Activating Eye Serum in Malaysia

How often we go to gallery to enjoy arts. Well thanks to Lancome Malaysia for the invite, I drove all the way to Publika on Friday night just to attend their Little Black Bottle Exhibition.  And luckily those arts pieces displayed were not disappointing and worth the time of getting stuck in the jam :D

ThisThe Little Black Bottle exhibition earlier in Gallery Chandan Publika is a new artistic project by Lancome in conjunction with its official launch of the new Advance Genifique Yeux Youth Activating Eye Serum.

Lancôme has collaborated with many international artists coming from Korea, China, England, the United States as well as Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan, and France.

And yes this little black bottle referring to Lancôme Advanced GÉNIFIQUE Youth Activating Concentrate has becomes a legend!

Let me show us how these high profile artists worked on the emblematic silhouette to reinterpret the iconic dimension of the glass bottle and its black silhouette, identifiable at first sight. And please tell me which is your favourite piece of art.

Personally there is a few that I like and this one on the right (below) by Toshimasa Ohara,Japan in particular is quite unique. From far it looks like mouth of shark nomming away your wrinkles and pigmentation (remembered the movie JAWS?)  but then take a closer it's the skyscraper of New York city. Absolutely a beautiful piece of art!

No surprise that the top left picture were chosen by most attendees as the picture that best represent The Little Black Bottle. It is a nice picture but I think too predictable and not very arty :P

These artists are really amazing some really think out of the box when they produce this pictures!

Which is your favourite ?

Inspired by the genomic and proteomic approach of Advanced Génifique, Advance Genifique Yeux Youth Activating Eye Serum targets five key signs of youth and five signs of fatigue specific to the eye area. Fine lines are reduced, smoothness, texture, lifting effect and firmness are improved by a formula containing a powerful complex of ingredients, to activate a youthful and well-rested look, and repair visible hints of fatigue.

Combined with its intensive action on aging, Advance Genifique Yeux Youth Activating Eye Serum has the soft-focus effect to “blur” tell-tale lines and wrinkles. In addition, these high tech ingredients provide matifying effects with a soft powdery skin finish. a cocktail of micro particles of different shades was selected to diffuse the light with illuminating and mattifying properties in order to immediately reduce signs of fatigue and make the gaze younger and smoother. Silica resin microspheres enhance light diffusion to visually correct dark shadows and other imperfections; boron nitride increase the quantity of diffused light; nacres subtly add illuminating effects, immediately. Besides improving the eye contour area it would keep the eyes area moisturizes for 8 hours and protects against urban pollution.

Clinical study on 43 Asian women for 4 weeks also shows a significant improvement of crow’s feet wrinkles, the total surface is reduced by 13%* and the number of wrinkles and fines lines is diminished by 14%*.

I tried the gel-cream texture and love how it felt... very smooth. As this is a serum, use a pea size and massage gently using your ring fingers. You can use this for morning and night.

Lancome Malaysia has been so lovely - after the Friday jam to Publika to attend the event, we get to pamper with eye massage using their latest Advance Genifique Yeux Youth Activating Eye Serum. That's so nice... I wish I had a longer session :D

Advance Genifique Yeux Youth Activating Eye Serum (7.5ml) is launched this month (May) for RM205 and would be available in all Lancome's counter.

And yes I should take this out soon to try and put on a review here. Stay tune :D

Lancome Rouge in Love Bloggers Party

Last Saturday I was invited to join the Lancome Rouge in Love Bloggers Party in Suria KLCC Concourse area. The makeup counters are set up so colourfully in pink & red.

There were contest for the public who came to the roadshow.

There were makeup table for the public to have a makeover with certain amount of purchase and most importantly to allow the public to try the new Rouge in Love Lipstick which is why I am there for!

I love the shade Emma Watsons is wearing here! She is wearing the new Lancome Rouge in Love shade 181N Midnight Rose.

Note : I was told Rouge in Love range sold in Asia would be different from those available in western countries as our formula are specially formulated in Japan and I think it is more sheer to suit our skintone.

The event started with Hana greeting us! Love the dress she is wearing here, very feminine and pretty!

Here Reuben is introducing the Rouge in Love lipstick range, there are a total of 27 beautiful colours in total which are categories in 3 different categories or moments. The categories are:-

Jolins Matins (M) :
Under the roofs of Paris, a new dawn has broken. The morning light filters in through the windows of her bedroom, gently waking her. She takes a moment to gather herself. A scented bath, some time to read... A love note written on the bathroom mirror, a touch of lipstick later and a beautiful day begins, whether she’s a working girl or fashionista on the go. I would think this is our usual everyday lipstick to wear to work.

Boudoir Time (B)
Special times with friends in the late afternoon. The time for catch ups and the sharing of secrets. Where do they meet? In a cosy but chic and stylish lounge, surrounded by satin cushions, cupcakes and designer clothes. I'll assume this is the afternoon/evening shade to wear on weekends when I'll meeting my friends for lunch or tea time.

Tonight is my Night (N)
The magic of a night in Paris. The twinkling lights of the city, the buzz of the coolest clubs to be seen in where private concerts are playing. A night filled with promise, of a moment to be seized. Of an encounter, perhaps... From the description, I would think one who wear lipstick in this category wanteded to impress and standout especially during her night out.

p/s: Review will be up soon!

A showcase of 3 models wearing 3 different category lipstick and makeup to match the whole look.

From left Jolis Matins ,Boudoir Time and Tonight is My Night.

Even though it's a Saturday morning, all these bloggers (including myself also!) are so energetic snapping pictures while watching the expert doing makeover demostration.

Zamri Zainol, Lancome National Makeup Artist did a full makeover on Jezmine. He was good like his usual self, sharing tips and showing step by step of the makeover.

Rane & Jacinta

After watching the demo, there is a mini game for bloggers where we can only use Rouge in Love lipstick to draw the face and the most creative group will win!

Team Zuriey and Zarah won the contest, her team drawed Zuriey's face with trees and branches!

Just before the event end, Tracyln was anounced as the best dressed! She came fully prepared and definitely deserved winning it because she told me she woke up at 7am to do her hair & makeup.

I like what I'm wearing here Lancome Rouge in Love 167N (each selling for RM75)

My first impression of Rouge in Love lipstick is that texture is smooth and it's moisturizing too!

My look of the day

Awww...I love this beautiful romantic video featuring Michelle Phan where she is wearing the new Lancome Rouge in Love lipstick & how the super good looking finally found her!

Today is the last day of the Lancome's roadshow at Suria KLCC Concourse level and if I'm not mistaken with every purchase of one Rouge in Love lipstick (worth RM 75), Lancome's facebook fans will receive Lancôme's Bi-Facil Eye & Lip Makeup Remover (30ml).

Lancome Golden Hat Foundation Holiday 2011 Color Collection - Review of L' Absolu Rouge Lipstick in Rose Absolu (No 365)

Some of you might have seen this at Lancome counters, this range is created to support “Golden Hat Foundation”, created by Kate Winslet, who has been a Lancome Ambassadress for 4 years. To mark the occasion, Lancôme has created this make-up collection in partnership with the actress.

A little bit background of this non-profit foundation, where it aims to better the lives of autistic children by removing or limiting the barriers they face. Its mission is to teach autistic children how to communicate more clearly, as well as offer them education, job training, recreational activities adapted to their disability.

In order to support Kate Winslet with this project, Lancôme has worked alongside her to create a limited edition make-up collection, which will be available this December. Lancôme promises to donate at least 150,000 euros of its sales profits to the “Golden Hat Foundation”.

*The “Golden Hat Foundation” collection reinterprets the mythical L'Absolu Rouge lipstick, and includes several nail polishes in all-new shades, as well as a new multi-compact powder. All these products are embossed with the foundation’s logo and the actress’ signature.

Well, I was lucky to be given this mythical L'Absolu Rouge lipstick for review by Lancome Malaysia!!!

It comes in classic black packaging and there is amazing magnetic casing, that I need not to worry that my casing will come off accidentally :)

And best of all, all "Golden Hat Foundation" cosmetics will be embossed with the foundation's logo and the actress' signature!

The lancome signature logo on top of the casing

Lancome L' Absolu Rouge Lipstick No. 365 which is Rose Absolu shade

A close up picture of the pretty lipstick, the shade is not as red as seen in Lancome's website but this is a super pretty rose shade.

Are you thinking Lancome L' Absolu Rouge Lipstick in Rose Absolu shade is too red for you?

Swatch of L' Absolu Rouge Lipstick No. 365 Rose Absolu on my hand.

Texture of the lipstick is sheer but builable colour with a few layers

I don't really wear red shade lipstick but this Lancome's L' Absolu Rouge Lipstick in Rose Absolu is really pretty and wearable without me looking like a clown.

Another plus point is that this lipstick is very moisturizing and I do not really need to use my lipbalm when using this lipstick!

I love how this lipstick just brighten up my look!

Lancome's L' Absolu Rouge Lipstick in Rose Absolu is quite longlasting , lasted me for some good hours before I need to apply it.

Do I need to tell you more how much I love this lipstick ?

Price for this Lancome's L' Absolu Rouge Lipstick in Rose Absolu (No 365) is priced at RM80.

Do check out Lancome Golden Hat Foundation collection as they are now available at all Lancome's counters nationwide.

FOTD : Oceanus eye makeup for Heineken Green Room Party

Yesterday I went to this awesome Heineken Green Room party and since the name of the event is GREEN, I decide to have some green colour eyeshadow on my eye makeup.

Let's see what I did ... in that 10 mins makeover since that I am actually going to be late for the event :D

Full face picture

For Face
Youngblood Mineral Primer as base
Lancome Teint Miracle Foundation in PO-03
Lancome Maqui Blanc Miracle Compact Foundation O-03
SkinFood Salmon Darkcircle Concealer Cream
Jill Stuart Blusher in #09 Little Bonquet

For eyes
Urban Decay Primer Portion ( The packaging is peeling and I cant stand it and removed it all away)
Kanebo Lavshuca in BR
Shu Uemura Graceful Bloom Palette
Lunasol palette in #04 Star River

p/s: Pls excuse me for my un-trimmed eyebrow. I gotta to make appointment for that now!

I decided to do a bit of colour mixing and Oceanus is my theme...i.e blue and green would be my main colour. And this is my first time writing down the steps after so long of not doing makeup of the day post, please excuse me if this sounds confusing.

I applied the beige colour from the Lavshuca palette all over my eyelid as a base colour. Then I applied the jungle green from the Shu Uemura palette all over the eyelid lightly and then the dark blue colour from Lunasol palette at the outer corner of the eyes to the middle and start blending in and mix with the jungle green colour. Then I applied the lime colour from the Shu Uemura palette at the inner corner of the eyelid and blend all the way to the middle. To make my eyes looked a bit bigger, I applied a thin line of jungle green colour below my eye lid from outer corner of my eyes to the middle and apply a little bit of lime colour at the lower eyelid from the middle to the inner of the eyes. Last but not least, I applied the white shimmering eyeshadow from Lunasol palette at my eyebrow.

Maybelline Magnum Volum Express Super Film Mascara
Maybelline Hypersharp Liner in Black
Kose Luminous Eyebrow pencil in GY 002

Lips
Maybelline Watershine Collagen Lipgloss in CP21

This is my new love, the colour is nude pink with no shimmer is perfect to pair with heavy eye makeup. This lip gloss has very nice sweet cherry scent and like to use it when the lip gloss is not sticky. Not only the colour of the lip gloss is pigmented, it gives my lips a very glossy look!

I think all my pictures are so exposed (means its too bright) and hence the eye makeup colour don't really show here *heartbroken*

Anyway hope you like this makeup :)
