NOTD : China Glaze For Audrey Nail Lacquer

After searching high and low, I finally found my favourite Tiffany blue shade from China Glaze!

This China Glaze For Audrey is a really gorgeous turquoise blue/ aqua/ mint green (or better known as Tiffany blue) nail lacquer which is inspired by Audrey Hepburn's movie Breakfast at Tiffany.

P/s: the above picture is not edited at except being cropped & watermarked to show you the true colour of the nail polish!

Part of my nails colour on the nails colour wheel so that it's easier for me to look for the colour I want to apply!

Believe it or not, although I have more than 70 nail polish bottles (I know I'm crazy) lying around at home but I am not an expert in applying nail polish. There are some bad days where I could remove and reapply over and again.

Review and Swatch of China Glaze For Audrey

I was really happy to find that China Glaze For Audrey's texture was creamy and pigmented. It was really easy to apply and I could even pass with 1 coating *so proud of myself*. And the 2nd coating was to make sure I have an even finishing & shine  I think the nail polish texture & brush was really good for this colour hence it was a breeze to apply.

If you read the labelled this comes with a hardener hence it would have the benefits of strengthening the nails, resistance to chipping and colour fading! Not only that China Glaze colours are free of DBP, Toluene and added Formaldehyde. And it uses China Clay as a nail hardener instead

And I applied my nail polish last Thursday and until today (5 days and still counting), the colour stay on so well without any chipping because I also used Seche Clear Base Coat & Seche Vita Dry Fast Top Coat this time around! I absolutely love their fast drying top coat - if you love applying nail polish ... you got to own this!

These 3 are my best beauty purchases of the month! I was glad to grab all these at a special promotion price at my Jessying x China Glaze Soiree party *post will be up soon after I have edit the pics*

China Glaze For Audrey is selling RM49 while Seche Crystal Clear Base Coat and Seche Vita Dry Fast Top Coat is selling at RM45 in their counters located in Isetan KLCC & Gardens Mall.

TIPS : Recyle your chipping nails colour and gives a fresh new design!

Hey lovely people, are you having your Monday Blue! Let me cheer you up by sharing my tips on how to recyle your chipping nails colour and gives a fresh new design!

I guess everyone loves it when nail polish looked pretty & nail when it was it first applied right? So after a week or two (depends how well you take care of your nails), the nails colour at the tip of our nails usually began to chipped and looked really ugly. And that's usually a signal of us to visit the salon or DIY ourselves to remove it & re-applying it with a new colour. Don't you think is a waste of money & time sometimes?

Instead of the hassle of removing & applying a total new colour...I have my way of keeping the existing nail colour even when the tip of the nail colour has chipped. And it save your time & pocket money too!

Recycling the base colour of the nail colour & give a touch up!

So after a week more or so when my nail polish started to chipped instead of using the same nail colour to fill it up (which is boring) , I used a different colour and give my nail a fresh new design re-cycling the same colour base which I applied a week ago :) Rather than the tedious waiting period, applying at the tip nail only takes very little time!

I applied Max Factor Sunset Glossfinity Sunset Orange (if not mistaken RM22/10ml) and this is one my favourite colour from my stash because I could never go wrong with this! This bright & pigmented orange colour makes me happy.... as my fingers looked fair & it is so easy to apply! Not only it dried up pretty fast, the colour stays really glossy for more than 10 days (more than what it promised!) - longer when I applied top coat on this!

So when tip of the nails started chipping & looked ugly, I applied Ciate Paint Pots in Peppermint (RM52). I feel in love with the colour at the first sight, it is fresh mint green (this colour remind me of tiffany blue).

Instead of applying it like french manicure drawing a line across, I created the melting nail effect to give a little bit design to my nails!

To make sure your nail colour stay longer (double longer for the base colour!) don't forget to apply top coat on top of that! I tried Butter London P.D Quick Topcoat (RM64 for 17.5ml) at Sephora and I'm sold! Dried up amazingly fast & my nail is so glossy and pretty until today... super amazing and better than OPI or Essie ones! I am gonna get this when my top coat at home runs out!

Seriously it is really easy to do & need not much skill...Best of all, your friends might be thinking you just did your new nails design when in fact you just recycle your base nail colour & give your nails a new face lif by giving a little bit touch up !

Saving your time, money & effort too :)

Try them today!

Note: Ciate , Butter London nail polish is available in Sephora Malaysia. As for Max Factor Glossfinity, it should be available at all Max Factor counters.

Review : Deborah Lippman Forget You Nail Polish

When I got home the night after meeting the lovely people from Luxola, the first thing I do was to take out the nail polish which was in my goodie bag and start painting my nails! I can't resist when it comes to glittering stuffs! I saw this Deborah Lippman nail polish online review before and was glad to try it myself for the first time! This Deborah Lippman "Forget You" Nailpolish is from the Deborah Lippmann Holiday 2011 collection! Thanks Luxola for giving me this to try !

Review Deborah Lippman Forget You nail polish: It has sheer black colour as the base while the colourful shimer was fine & comes in various sizes. With one layer I can still see the base of my nails but with 2 or 3 coats , the shimmer will fill up all the gaps on my nails! Although texture is a little bit too thick due to the shimmers but it is really easy to apply and it dries up pretty fast! And I'm happy that my nails suddenly looked so glam & pretty for tonight L’Oréal Colour Trophy 2012 Gala Dinner!

Good news is Luxola currently is selling Get This Party Started Holiday 2011 collection! This set of three full size twinkling shades includes Deborah Lippmann’s best-selling party in a bottle, ‘Happy Birthday’ and two variations of the glittering shade, ‘Forget You’ and ‘Candy Shop’, all from the limited edition ‘Holiday’ collection. With some serious sparkle and shine, they totally amaze, and are the perfect gift for any party girl this. Contains no toluene, formaldehyde or DBP. Never tested on animals.

This set is selling at RM224.50 at Luxola (More Info & Link at Luxola's website HERE)

NOTD : My Valentine Peach Cocktail polish set from Japan

I bought this pretty nail polish set last year in a mall in Shinsaibashi, Osaka and totally forgotten about it until recently I found it inside my drawer! I always fancy Japanese nail design and I remembered there are so many pretty nail polish set and I just simply pick up this one because it was the cheapest among all :P It was 609 yen around Rm23 or less (when I bought that time because exchange rate was lower)

So I took out and try it for my first time!

This mini gradient nail polish manicure kit comes in 3 colours.

Each nail polish is labelled with A,B and C and I just followed the steps stated behind the nail polish packaging.

Can't read Japanese so I am just following my instict while looking at the picture tutorial

After 10 mins I'm done because the nail polish dried up pretty fast !!

Was so happy because my nails result is per the picture illustration in the box ! #happy

Can't stop admiring at my nails now!

I think I will to buy some polish when I am in Japan this coming Friday because it is so simple to use & the results are so pretty!

And my nails are perfect for Valentine's Day tomorrow !!!

To those in love, Happy Valentine's Day !
If you're single do enjoy yourself because you still have plenty of choices!

NOTD : Lunasol Natural Beige

How often I go Beige, almost never because I never look good in beige eyeshadow or beige clothing which explains that I did not get the latest Lunasol Christmas Holiday 2010 collection...although it was so damn worth... and I'm love with the pouch instead..!!!

So a while ago whem I got this Lunasol Natural Beige nail polish from an online contest I wasn't too keen to try. But this is Lunasol... so I gotta try this out!! Turned out the color actually look quite good on my nail. Very clean look!

My comment : The nail polish is quite quick drying compare to some of my nail polish. However I do need to apply 3 layers of nail polish here because the coverage is a bit sheer.

Swatch : OPI Swiss Collection - Yodel Me On My Cell

A while ago I went for my pedicure and saw the latest collection of OPI Swiss Collection!

Pretty right, this is the Fall / Winter 2010 collection!!

I can never understand why OPI name are so weird and do not feel there is a connection between color and the name

Pretty shimmering bluish green.

In fact this picture was taken 2 weeks after I done my manicure, seems the color stay pretty well right ?

The next color which I want to try is this!!!

This color name is cuckoo for this color

YES I'm cuckoo for this color by looking at the swatch!!

The color is shimmering dark green jade like color, so classy !!!!

Each original OPI nail polish is priced at RM57/each

For more information , visit OPI website here for swatch!

p/s: looking at the picture time to apply soak my feet with lotion!

NOTD : Bling the Fuschia Pink

I added some bling to this nail polish , by using the mini nail tip nail polish I bought recently from Etude House.

Estee Lauder Nail polish in Fuschia and Etude House mini nail tip with shimmer

This is one of the best nail polish I ever used! It don't smell bad, very quick drying and the colour are so vibrant and long staying. The picture above I took is after 2 days of application (1 base, 1 layer of nail colour and 1 layer of topcoat), with me moving stuffs around the colour still stay on perfectly!

NOTD : Oh Mario!

Who is a Mario lover here ?

I am a self-confessed Mario lover since I am 7 years old ! Now I miss playing Super Mario Bros video game which was created by Nintendo and I even have Super Mario ring tone in my phone now!

If you have no idea what is Mario all about , click here !

Well why am I talking about Mario suddenly, ah now I remember... I am going to do Nail of The Day inspired by Super Mario Bros game!

My tools
Nailtek - Base & Top Coat
M.A.C Nailpolish in Rougemarie
Etude House Nailpolish in White
Etude House Quick dry for Nails

Tadaa my end result! My red base with white polka dote nailpolish !

I apply the white dots using normal white nail polish as I do not have any nail art pens. Which also explain the imperfection.

My darling said this looked more like yummy strawberry.

I think he wants to eat my hands -.-
But I think this look like the Super Mushroom in Super Mario Bros video game !!! Where mario will eat the Super Mushroom and grow larger and he can then kill the enemy by jumping and stomping on the heads of enemies.

I want to eat my nails now, then I grow larger and then I can go stomp on all the bad people head in the world and become Superwoman.... LOL

p/s: I love this nail polish design a lot, its easy and looks cute ! And I cannot resist myself from buying more nail polish from Etude House yesterday because so cheap .. how vain!

NOTD : M.A.C Cream Asiatique, The Red Blood

Another nail polish from my M.A.C Nail polish collection which I really adore!!

M.A.C Cream Asiatique

I named it The Red Blood , because it looks just like our blood !!

So do you like this colour ?

I have stated the pros and cons of MAC nailpolish for the past NOTD's post, and I think that while MAC Nail polish are great, it has just too little varities compare to OPI or Essie ..

And definitely I am wearing this for the Chinese new year !

I have red blouse, red shoes (yes the Clarks one!!) , red bag (which my bf bought for me last Valentine's Day. Now I'm getting a new bag, but I dont think will be red!) and now i have red nail polish to finish the look!! I must stress that I do not want to have red eyes disease ~~
