Review : Restoran Sin Kee Steam Rice

Few months back when my boyfriend told me he is bringing me to a Chinese restaurant in Brickfields for dinner. I was like 0_0 ??? I am asking are you sure in Brickfields? Well I used to attend my classes there and all I remember is there are 4 Chinese food shop/restaurant and there is nothing special. And even now the food shop behind my college was turned into Old Town White Coffee cafe >.<
Note : To my Muslim readers, this is a non-halal post on food.

He said his colleagues told him many many times that this is a nice and must go place! So we went ! We found the restaurant located opposite Kl Sentral at the main road of Brickfields, which is a little bit further down after the monorail station. And if you walking from Monorail station, it is like two blocks away. And this is the only Chinese restaurant at the whole row of shops. So we were told by his colleague to order their signature steam rice (in Cantonese it's calls Man Fan).

So we ordered their signature pork steam rice after looking at their menu (in English/Chinese) . And they came like this with the bowl cover on top of the rice, don't look presentable to me.

But when they opened it , I was like WOW that is really a huge portion with lots of ingredients and it smells good too! Plain rice with generous amount of of pork, fishcakes, Chinese sausages, chicken, squid, omelette, cabbage, onions, lettuce and lots of dark yummylicious gravy .

This is only RM 7/plate!

If you do not take pork, then can order the Seafood Steam rice.

Inside with GENEROUS amount of big fresh prawns, squids, fishcake, onions, omelette, lettuce and lots of gravy!!! RM7.50 for this one .. worth the price !!

Try also their noodle soup, the soup is sweet because have lots of ingredients. RM6.50 or Rm7 ( cant remember it)

Also don't forget to try their daily soup, its very sweet, rich and nice! Also around RM6-RM7!

Something interesting to find out that although this is like a typical Chinese restaurant, the boss and the workers speaks very fluent English apart from Cantonese and they even write down order in English.

Restoran Sin Kee

Address : 194, Jalan Sambathan, Brickfields, 50470 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Direction to go : Drive a little bit further down after the monorail station. And if you walking from Monorail station, it is like two blocks away.

Tel : 03-2274-1842

Opening Hour : Lunch 12pm-2.30pm and Dinner 6pm-9.30pm

GPS Coordinate : N3 07.818 E101 41.265

p/s: I am going back to try to order their ala-carte dishes :D

Review : Snowflake Bestseller Dessert !

My sister has been talking about this forever ! At last, Sunday I have the chance to try it after my karaoke sessions with friends... She has been telling me must try Taro balls so nice and nice and yummy... At first when I heard about the name Taro balls I thought some fried desert like my favourite takoyaki balls . So let me show you there to see what they raved about !!!

In fact this Snowflake is a Taiwanese desert SECRETS located in SS15, Subang Jaya

Some history of it !

The table setting , the place is very packed, many dine in and take away as well!

This is a self service dessert shop, I walked front and queue up to see what to buy... I have no idea at all !

So called my sister, she just said Bestseller in cold !!! You will definitely love it!

Okay , I need to listen to her for at least once.. Haha... since this is like one of her favourite's dessert of all times, cant go wrong with that...

I paid RM5.50 for 1 bowl and was given this weird looking thingy...and no dessert was given?????

Oh it's a Beeping UFO (But what has UFO has in common with dessert ???)

Suddenly it is vibrating and flashing like this !! which looks like a timed bomb which suddenly going to explode... So I quickly ran back the collection counter and hand them this and was given and was given a bowl of explosive balls yummylicious looking dessert!

Snowflake Bestseller- RM5.50

Grass jelly + Grass jelly ice + Taroballs + Creamer

What is taro balls as some of you might be asking...

Taro is sweet potatoes in Japanese language... so the orange & white colour balls on top of deserts are sweet potatoes! It's so chewy like chewing gums !

Pour the creamer on the desert... and yes you are on heaven nowwwwwww

I scoop out a spoon and put in my mouth.... Gosh its so so so so so yummylicious !!!! I don't know how to tell you this... the taro balls is chewy and the ice melt in my mouth.... As I was chewing the grass jelly and grass jelly ice with the creamer is just PERFECT!!!!

It feels tastes like love at first sight!

You must try this !!!
My bf and I love it, I think youn going to fall in love with it too !

Where to find this ?
No.61A, First Floor,
Jalan SS15/8A,
47500 Subang Jaya,
Selangor.

Also - was told by sis that they have just opened a new outlet at Pavilion KL recently and the price are slightly more expensive than the main branch !! But who cares as it is much much more nearer to my house and Yipeee, I will be going there more often than not on sunny day !

p/s: I'm not paid for this review okay ... and its all based on my personal opinion :D Gosh I'm lemming for this heavenly dessert !!!

Ask no more, go try it!!!!
