Amazing Seniors Talent Quest 2023 for Seniors Above 50

In a society that can sometimes marginalize older individuals, Talent Quest seeks to highlight the vibrancy and endless possibilities of their creative expression. By giving them a stage to perform, we are breaking barriers and redefining what it means to be a talent competition.

With a focus on the ageless spirit and the wealth of experiences that come with age, we invite the press to explore this exceptional event and discover the incredible talents that are often overlooked in mainstream competitions. The Seniors Talent Contest is not just a celebration of talent; it is a celebration of life, creativity, and the enduring passion that thrives within those above 50.

How It Works

Commencing July 15th, 2023, seniors from all corners of Malaysia are cordially invited to seize the opportunity to submit their video entries which would include any type of performance including singing, dancing, playing an instrument or even acting.  After the 1st September deadline, we would narrow down contestants to 20 semi-finalists, who would be invited to perform live on stage during the Amazing Seniors Life Begins at 50 Seniors Festival 2023. This event will be held at Atria Shopping Gallery in Petaling Jaya, from September 29th to October 1st, 2023. As part of the grand finale of the Talent Quest, a distinguished panel of prominent icons, including the renowned Dato’ Khadijah Ibrahim, will take their positions as judges for the grand finale.

Annoucement :H&M Home arrives in Malaysia in Avenue K and it's the FIRST in South East Asia

Tory Burch loves color — and has created 12 distinctive shades for her new Lip Color Collection. From tomboy neutrals to feminine pinks and bold brights, the collection is designed to flatter a variety of skin tones. Encased in gold and orange fretwork, each lipstick is a super-chic accessory in itself.
The new collection builds on the successful launch of Tory’s signature pinky-nude lip color — “Pas du Tout.” Formulat- ed to deliver the ideal balance of sheer yet vibrant color and rich texture with a weightless finish, each lipstick is subtly scented with the notes from the Tory Burch fragrance — cassis, grapefruit and mandarin.

Many of the shades in the Lip Color Collection have names inspired by Tory’s personal history — from old-fashioned phrases and family nicknames to superstitious sayings. The name of Tory’s signature shade— “Pas du Tout” — comes from a phrase often said by her father, Buddy. Malaysia’s Largest Mobile Breast Cancer Campaign Coming To You with ‘Kiss Goodbye To Breast Cancer’ Bus!

The fight against the Number 1 women killer continues! In conjunction with the much-celebrated worldwide PINK October Month, AVON Malaysia is all geared with its Kiss Goodbye to Breast Cancer Campaign 2013.

This year around, the fight continues with a strategic collaboration with LPPKN and MYDIN as The Company For Women set to create a new record in the Malaysia Book of Records for The Largest Mobile Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign.

The campaign’s key objectives are to empower women to improve their breast health while educating the importance of breast screening as part of a healthy lifestyle. The campaign also aims to create awareness among women, with emphasis that one third of breast cancers are preventable and that regular screening can save lives. 

Themed “Kiss Goodbye to Breast Cancer”, this fun road tour will be carried out simultaneously via different 6 buses in 6 zones nationwide; namely the north, central, south, east coast, Sabah and Sarawak. These unique buses are equipped with private rooms specially designed for clinical breast checks, educational corner and registration counter for mammogram subsidy.

Scheduled from 5th to 30th October 2013, these KGBC buses are slated to stop over at 48 locations nationwide from 10am – 5pm each weekend. Locations are selected for their hot spot awareness and reach-out potentials, with main locations being at Mydin Malls where the public is easily accessed. 

The key highlight of the tour is the free clinical breast health check by LPPKN’s professional medical teams, educating the masses that breast cancer screening should be made as a routine testing aims at detecting breast cancer at its earlier stages. Regular breast cancer screenings can detect early signs of breast cancer, including tumours that are too small to feel. 

To encourage participation, Avon will be giving away attractive goodies to the first 100 participants who get on board the bus for their breast screening. Also, 50 participants with pink outfits will win Best Dressed prizes. The public can also look forward to various exciting programs like charity makeovers, pink bazaar charity sales, lucky draws and free bra fitting education, among others.

My Dream comes True - I am in Nov Female magazine!

2 months ago, Wan Lee a freelance writer with female magazine email and asked me if I am interested to be featured in their November 2010. I jumped in joy and say YES! Although I have the first interview with Oriental Daily a while ago in August, but to be featured in Female Magazine is totally every woman dream! I do not think I am that famous or have like really huge stash of beauty products like some of you here, but this time around I am just lucky to be selected!

So when the days come (approximately 2 months ago) my lovely sister and I put everything (yes everything) in a super XXL luggage bag and dragged it into the cab and brought the the shooting location to show the Female Mag team. Gosh, the luggage bag was so heavy.. I was so scare to be robbed half way... and I reaslise something, if there is fire in my house, I think I need a trolley to save all my beauty collection!

So when I reach there, there are 6 others girls there.. so I waited my turn.. do my makeup and photo shoot.. although waited for a while. The short waiting period make me felt like I have waited for hours, I am very anxious as this is first time going for official photo shoot , all the arrangement looked so professional. After few hundred photos being snapped, finally the photographer and editor said okay... they got the right picture of me.. Now I know how hard is it to be model.. and for the photographer to get the right shoot.. as everything in the picture matters!

So here is it, I am very honour to be selected to be interviewed in Female Magazine to show my skincare stash, thank you Female for this opportunity! However I am not going to tell you what is my interview about.. you gotta buy the Female Magazine November edition to find out more ! And the magazine itself has so much interesting and new beauty & fashion tips to share! Check it out!

I believe in miracle, never thought I will come so far :)

Look ma, I'm in the Oriental Daily Newspaper!


Last week John,Edwin (from www.everyday.com.my) and me was being interviewed by Oriental daily, a local Chinese newspaper. We shared about our experiences in warehouse sale and why and how we visit them.

Who hates warehouse sale, when you can get better bargain there!

Of course we hate waking up early to queue and the attitudes of the crazy crowds. But all of us came with one mission , thats to get a good deal!

Why spend more when you can something at the a much more lower price (50% - 90% off)

Companies (whether from beauty, food, , furniture, fashion industry..etc) are facing the same problem when come to the issue of storage. They have a lot of old/existing products which maybe already off the shelf and it is still being kept in their warehouse. However it is a very high cost (rental and maintenance) for the companies to store products like this.

And and the longer the put there , there are facing loss ( products expired, broken) So in order to be cost efficient, they need to sell off their existing/old product before the company can bring in more new collection for storage. So they cannot run away from not having warehouse sale.




In view with our current economic growth, things are getting more expensive .. and our purchasing power has dropped tremendously.. and some of us salary did not even have an increment for years to combat with the increase of the price hike. Employer often gave excuse that the economy is very bad and company made not much business, hence not much profit and therefore there is no increment for all.

So how do we cope or maintain our current lifestyle?
Getting things from the warehouse sale is one of the way.

Contrary to popular belief, warehouse sale always have the outdated, expire and defective products. But then ..you always can find a gem in there !

Speaking about outdated products , in Malaysia itself... our fashion cycle are way behind countries like Singapore, Taiwan, Korea, Japan and other Western countries. And there are many stuffs which is a always in fashion, for E.g a black eyeliner, black color eyeshadow.. all these are the norm in beauty world.

Of course my advice is , if you want to catch some worms, be the early birds :)

And also one thing I love about warehouse sale, its like more to a get together with my shopping buddies.. we camp together..gossip to keep each other awake and then attack the sales together !

For me, I only shop during promotion and during warehouse sale if the things that I wanted are not urgent and are not of my must to have items. And often I go warehouse sale to help my customers to get their stuffs, with a nominal fee they are paying to me.. they can save all the trouble.. and I am happily shopping for them too!

So people whats your take on warehouse sale ?

As I always say to my friend, we are one the biggest Economy growth contributor.. without us, many industries will go bankrupt!

So spend more to save the country economy !
