Yesterday Mercedes-Benz STYLO Model Search 2012 Finale was held in The Pool, Nihonkan, a new luxurious lifestyle gastrobar at Jalan Ampang.
It was full house!
YBhg Dato' Nancy Yeoh, President and CEO of Stylo International said that there are still many toung women out there waiting to be discovered and polished into future supermodels and they realised that beauty in the classic sense is not a prerequisite. She added Supermodels are a unique breed. One 'look" is never beautiful but they must possess the ability to adapt to different situations and styles at any given time, with the right attitude while maintaining poise and elegance.

I was told that for the first time, the Stylo Model Search was open to males, non-Malaysians living in Malaysia and minimum age at 14. The finalists consists an interesting electic mix including Malay, Chinese, Indian, Dutch, Iban, Bidayuh and for the first time a foreign nationalit from Kazakhtan.
The 12 finalists walked down the runway in official fashion sponsor, F&F's Spring/Summer 2o12 collection.
It was a tought fight, so who won?
Standing centre is Low Tze Shian (19) from Penang is the winner of Mercedes-Benz STYLO Model Search 2012 won RM60,000 cash prize from F&F , a Roberge watch by Mouawad and an openingshow for Stylo’s winning designers at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in Mexico in September this year!
First runner-up Mira Bouwmeester (14) was the youngest contestant of the night and she walked away with RM50,000 cash prize while second runner-up Justin Koit (21) won RM40,000 cash prize.

Apart from that, Stylo World Models Club was launched at the event too. It is an extension of the World Fashion Series with Mercedes-Benz where it aims to grow and protect the integrity of the modelling industry. It will be managed and funded by Stylo and its band of international sponsors and partners. Ms Cillla Doong (the lady in leopard print dress) was appointed to be the President of the Stylo Models Club, Malaysia Chapter.
Those interested to be members or associate members would need to apply and their application would be reviewed before being accepted.
