Guinness celebrates 50 years anniversary in Malaysia with three limited edition designs!

 

Guinness Malaysia unveiled three limited edition designs for its Foreign Extra Stout bottles and cans last week at their 50 years of anniversary in Malaysia. These will be available from now to November only while stock lasts. Each one is bursting with vibrant colours and intricate patterns, inspired by the wealth of history and culture Malaysia has to offer. What has not changed is the glorious Guinness inside ; because it's the exact same formula that Malaysian have known and loved all these years.

Bruce Dallas, Marketing Director of GAB said "For the first time, we've created brand new limited-edition design specifically for one country, drawing inspiration from its culture and its people."

These limited edition designs Guinness bottles have not only been inspired by Malaysia, the have been created for Malaysian, by Malaysian.

Behind the designs are five luminaries of the Malaysian creative scene, who came together to explore the concepts of history, identity and culture. The "Creative Council" comprised of musician Edwin Raj (frontman of local band They Will Kill Us All), artist Donald Abraham, film director James Lee, graphic artist Lefty (Julian Kam) and photographer Vincent Paul Yong.

Each limited-edition design created to represent a distinct era in Malaysia's journey - stretching back to our tribal roots, through the age of independence, leading into the modern day and looking ahead to the future.

 Amazing dance choreography to showcase each era which the designs represent.

They even have different era backdrop to represent the designs 

This is the era of pre-independence day where alcohols are sold in local grocery store (known as kedai runcit)

This is the era of post Malaysian independence day where people had their beer in traditional coffee shop aka kopitiam. This is the place where all the coffee shop talk happened where people sit and hang around to talk gossip on national politics, sports, food, etc. 

This is the current era we are in where people enjoy their favourite Guinness stout in pub. Haha more high class now lah..

At the event, I was delighed when I found they served Guinness Infused with Ice Cream float...

 Happiness overload ... best combination ever!

 The three collectable limited edition design will not appear only in Guinness Foreign Extra Stout bottles (325ml and 640ml) but also in cans (320ml) from now to November 2015 while stock lasts!

If you have been following my Instagram @jessyings, you will see that I have been actively travelling this year to few countries earlier this year. It's really fun but tiring. My skin has been exposed to sun for long hours especially when I was backpacking in Sri Lanka for a week in June 2015.

Oh well...oh well here is my review of the all the products range in details :)

Estee Lauder Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening Moisture Treatment Lotion is selling at RM 201 for about 200ml

Infusing skin with the exclusive NEW Light Cycle QD Complex, this Japan Quasi-Drug Whitening & Anti-Inflammatory (China Special Function Spot) formula helps correct the look of dark spots and prevent new ones from forming. Skin is revitalized with a surge of hydration and prepared to maximize benefits from the formulas that follow.

I really like this lotion, like the name suggested it really prep the skin with moisture and making it supple and soft. Instead of using cotton pad, I prepared to dab and press it into my skin for better absorption. It smells has a mild pleasant floral scent and it makes me feel calm as I applied on my face.

NEW Crescent White’s scent, developed in Asia, captures a prestigious femininity in the tender and gentle fragrance. Inspired by beautiful white florals and the purity of hibiscus, the notes of white blooms are enveloped with a soft aquatic freshness for a reviving yet relaxing sensation. I read that this high-performance essence evens skin tone and significantly reduce the look of dark spots. Dullness disappears until light seems to come from deep within. Pure and potent, the Japan Quasi-Drug Whitening & Anti-Inflammatory formula features the complete NEW Light Cycle QD Complex.

The serum also feature similar scent like the lotion. The texture is lightweight and absorb almost immediately after applying. One of my favourite from this range! And usually after applying the whole face, I took half a pump to massage on target area .... with the hope my dark spot will be lighten... 

Estee Lauder Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening Moisture Creme is selling at RM280/50ml

This also has signature floral scent. The texture is very creamy yet not sticky as it absorbs quickly into my skin when I massage it on my face. Love how it feels really comfortable on my skin because it think it helps to strengthen my skin’s moisture barrier. I can feel my skin was feeling bouncy and smoother after I woke up in the morning although I was sleeping in the air-condition room all night long. As this is a product under the whitening range, it also help correct the look of dark spots and prevent new ones... making our skin more even-toned and bright in the long run.

And the best way to show you how this Estee Lauder Crescent White Full Cycle Brightening really works on my skin is to show you a before & after pic. My skin is glowing!!!! Pores looks smaller, skin looks more hydrated & brighter, dark spots seem to looks lighter now and more importantly overall my skin tone has been restore!! Oh my ...oh my...the result is so obvious that honestly that I don't think I need to elaborate further. 

The result is clear, Estee Lauder did deliver what it promises.

Harman / Kardon & JBL opened their first flagship store in Malaysia in Mid Valley Megamall!

Harman / Kardon & JBL officially opened their first flagship store in Malaysia. It's located in S-037 2nd Floor of Mid Valley Shopping Mall. I have been hearing about them for the longest time and I used to own a toshiba laptop with Harman / Kardon built in speaker and the sound system was superb!

I wasn't surprised at all when I was told over the past two and a half years, HARMAN brands including JBL, Harman Kardon, Infinity, AKG, Yurbuds, and Mark Levinson have won 144 awards for 84 different products. With more than 10 million HARMAN portable audio products sold worldwide, this record of success makes HARMAN the champion award winner in the global consumer electronics industry.

Red Dot Design: JBL led the charge and came in with five awards, including for the JBL GO wireless

speaker. The Harman Kardon brand scored a triple win, including for the wireless HD audio system.

AKG won two awards for its headphones.

I love how speakers nowadays looks so cute and portable. So easy to connect via bluetooth! 

Even the whole home theater system comes with Bluetooth connectivity, so much convenience!

 This is one my favorite design, so sleek and small!

My 4 Simple Tips to Perfect Selfie Picture!

Last September, Malaysians broke the Guinness World Records’ world record for most number of selfies in an hour. Malaysia boleh!!! Actually I also contributed a fair amount of selfies! 

And recently a friend asked how to take a perfect selfie picture? I have list down my 4 simple tips to share with you how to take perfect selfie picture! 

1) Natural lighting 

One of the key thing in photography is lighting  and for selfie it's also the same. Natural light is the most flattering kind because the light will brighten and soften our features, rather than casting harsh shadows across your face. Make sure the sun or other light source in front of you, a bit above eye level, for the most flattering shot. And if you ever try use camera flash to do selfie , you will probably see forehead glare, sometimes the harsh lighting will distort your appearance and possibly give your selfie the red eye effect.

I always prefer to take selfie near a window or outdoors because the light softer and more flattering. It like how it will give the impression of smoother & softer facial lines, and smile appears to be more attractive I think!

2) Get your angles right

For a perfect looking selfie, it's important to get our angles right. You can experiment in front of the mirror to determine which angles are most pleasing for your face.

I think when one look straight into the camera usually the face looks round and fat .. (unless you have really think face lol). And I think it's nice to make the face tilt at a slight angle to the camera to create the illusion of slimmer face.

3) Clean & Clear Skin

Want to have a perfect looking selfie? Have a healthy skin! I cannot deny the magic makeup can do to help to boost up my confidence but honestly it still could not conceal 100% of our skin condition (eg pimples, big pores etc). I know now girls are into filter apps, got to admit how it makes the skin looks perfect within a touch but in actual fact, we know it's not real . So why not start to let people to see the real you? Beauty starts with healthy skin.

I admit I started taking care of my skin pretty late, I wish I would have started way earlier. At minimum, I think one needs to practice 3 simple step of skincare step i.e clean, tone and moisture to to clean & protect our skin from our polluted environment.

And if you use makeup, please, please make sure you remove your makeup properly everyday before you go to sleep! And yes makeup residue left on face will cause pimples, skin irritation etc.

Healthy diet and lifestyle are important as well because that contribute to your whole well-being !

p/s : Do make appointment with your dentist every 6 months to clean & polish your teeth to have a great smile. You know it's not awesome when your mouth has odor or looks yellowish.
