Restaurant review : Ka-Wha Korean BBQ Buffet!

After I tried Daidomon a Japanese Buffet in Great Eastern Mall, been craving to try Korean Buffet for some time. One of the lovely Sunday evening in July, Miu invited me to a makan2 session in Restaurant Ka Wha which serves authetic korean buffet in Bangsar and great they having promotion now !!!! The attraction is this restaurant serves pork as well unlike some of the restaurants in KL.

The restaurant located the same row with the old Popular Bookstore, opposite Little Black Book and Cat Whiskers which is a great place to walk around after the meal ... Anyway let the picture do the justice

Price - 8/10 stars fresh meat/fish/vege (However some item 1 plate/person!)

What is "People First. Performance Now?"

According to our beloved Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak statement in TheStar during his sworn in on 3 April 2009 that "Government is coming out with new approaches for new times – a government that places a priority on performance, because the people must come first." Then I asked myself do I feel that the administration of the government body walk the talk of PM's vow?

In today world, the consumer especially from the younger generation emphasise on customer service because we feel that no matter how good your products or your food are, if your service are bad, then I rather not buy/consume it . I have encountered few times of bad customer service before that I swore myself that I will never buy/consume their products NO MATTER how attractive. Because I feel a good brand and product take into account of consumer's feeling . And if I walk away feeling bad now, the possibility of not going back in the future is almost impossible. Simply because I have bad impression and I have plenty other brands to go for !!! And I believe " If you treasure us we treasure you back!" concept .

But today what I am saying is about government agency such as post office ??? Do we have a choice other than expensive courier company ? And they are monopolising the market ! Why are those civil servants still in their dreams aren't them not listening to the PM's vow???

Walk the Talk !!!!

Anyway relating back to today's incident ..

Sasa and I went to Ampang Park's post office today , wanted to buy 100 pcs of 40 cents stamps for office use , to our horror.... there are so many people in the post office...so she proceeded to take the number for the machine.

However there is a notice pasted on the wall that for purchase of stamps , we do not need to take the number to queue . And we clarify with one of the officer and was told that we just stand by those 2 counters and slip in the money to buy... while officers is serving someone else. Means asked us cut queue !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunately only Counter 3&4 are open despite the whole place is almost packed!

So when we went to stand near the counter asked instructed by the officer and slip money to the officer asking to buy 100 stamps, then she said in a rude manner that "Cannot go take number, only can buy RM10 stamps only".

"And the male officers said there la go there, not here.."

What double standard is it? And guess what people are watching we feel so embarrass !!!!

So we proceeded to the take the queue slip... and still got 35 persons ahead!!! and 2 counters!!Even each transaction for 1 person is 5 mins , we still have 1 hour to wait !!!

Then we give up la... just walked away!

Note : Look at the time differences between the queue slip and my watch !!!!!!!!!

Not so easy, I saw they place in the counter customer feedback form, quickly grab it wanted to let out my grouses.... but there is NO PEN to be seen!!! Pinjam pen some more!!

p/s: My writing follows my mood. Therefore when I am angry or piss off, you see the writing on top the picture.. just crap nia.. hahahaha... but I hope they take serious concern !!!

I want to see "People First. Performance Now?" Civil servant salaries are being paid by tax payer money and we are the boss , how come this little napoleon acting like he is the boss ?

Past, Current and Future.

I want to keep track of my skin condition constantly from now on. And I only can only find out from skin test, however conventional skin test that just asked u a couple of questions are not accurate! What I'm saying is computerised skin test with complete pictures of our cell and then it will shows charts, analysis and comparison with ideal skin!

One day 8 months ago I pass by Shishedo's counter and don't even dare to get near them cos their products not only heard but seems expensive to me !!! However the girls there are so friendly and told me get a computerised skin test and see what the result. So I sat down with my curiosity and below are the result.

MY PAST - MY PRIDE

8 months ago , the skin test result B, which was quite satisfying except for lack of clarity.

Skin care used : Clinique 3 steps and with minimal masks being used.

Cause : A few months ago, I stopped using Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Lotion and see the indirectly or directly cause my hydration level dropped by half! And moreover I am having a very unhealthy lifestyle like a cat woman in the night (sleep late) and bird in the morning (rise early)!

I was told my turnover level is in critical level and the only way to save it is to increase with massaging on the face! And I'm thinking if to go for facial and now Shishedo doing promo for 1st trial 50% of RM130 which is only RM65. *Thinking*

And recently bought the RMK Brightening set and Clinique 3 steps , I will do my skin test again in 1-2 months again and blog about it !

Review/Comments on RMK'S Workshop!

Went for the RMK' workshop which we paid RM150 for it and it was conducted in The Apartment restaurant, KLCC . Here are some of the pictures, review and comments to share .

The set that is being placed on our table and to be shared by 4 persons!!! Some of the products there is only a few and the Beauty consultant is holding it and distributing it ! Waste of time !

*Note the dirty brush that we havent even start to use* And 2 tables sharing tissues and cotton pad , which I have to keep Sasa for more !!!!*

Note : Its great hear that all RMK skin care such as skin protector with SPH 31 and comestic such as liquid foundation except for cream foundation can be applied to our eyes area because it is water based *which means my eyes area are well-protected from UV rays*

See any differences ?

I put so much only to get this result, I still prefer my Paul and Joe liquid foundation

The eye makeup which the cream eyeshadow and shimmer took me longest time to use it, the colours not as good/obvious as M.A.C . Initially use the silver cream eyeshadow but its not showing !!!!

Bought the Brightening set at RM190 which includes Fruit Skintuner, Skin Brightener Lotion and Face Skin Protector with SPH 31 together with a pouch. (using RM100 cash voucher from the workshop)

The workshop door gift is Cream Makeup Base and some samples and got extra samples from generous Lilian upon purchasing!

Bright side :
Get to play with the makeup, meet with our fellow blogger and buy the promotion set at great value!!!

Dark side :
1) Bad management, i.e only 1 set of skincare/comestic for 4 persons to share which and the brush is old and dirty Dirty is something I cannot tolerate at all!! Even the eyeliner tip keep cracking when I was using it!!!

2) Goodies bag is so so only !!! the last time I attended the Pavillion RMK workshop for free been given some travel size items as well!

Bright side:
Its a private venue which air-conditioned at the 1st floor of the restaurant , the natural lightning there is very suitable for beauty workshop because its conducted near the window
2) Easily access by public transport

Dark Side
1) The Speaker is heavily pregnant should not even be doing the demo, cause her voice so soft and like no energy!

2) The whole area of the 1st floor of restaurant is big and we only used 1 side of the venue, yet no MIC was being used despite there is 30-35 of them, which end up the we can only hear each of us talking !

3)Arrangement of tables need to be improved as people keep said excuse me while walking behind me , cos the space between 2 rows very narrow!

4) Preferred the classroom arrangement like the one RMK workshop I attended for FREE in Pavillion 1-2 months ago!!!!!! Cause we cant see what the beauty consultant doing because she is standing beside us rather than infront of us for those sitting infront!

Food = -10/10
Was served super duper hard nuggets, some over-fried wedges, and lauzy sandwich and some cakes at the size of my fingers!!

The worst food ever being served for a workshop despite paying for the workshop (even the RMK management agreed that food was bad!!!!) MUCH worst than mamak or tepi jalan food, and Definately we deserve at least proper sandwich or fried noodle or PASTA!!!!! bad name for Luxasia and The Apartment for serving this kind of food !!!!!


Knowledge and service of ALL Beauty Consultant = 4/10

Bright side :
Only Lilian and 1-2 girls are helpful.. still those young SA product knowledge very bad and I asked them simple question also hesistate. Lucky Lilian there to assist us!

Dark Side:

1) Not enough Beauty Consultant to assist each table consists of 4 participants as the one doing demo-ing not clear and did not wait us to finish the previous step before proceeding * We are slow also because 4 of us need to share the only product and sometimes being borrowed and taken to another table !!!!!*

2)There is unfriendly Beauty consultant who dont even care when we asked question and dont even come to help when noticed we needed help !!! And some not even smilling , face like black2 , we feel very uncomfortable for the whole session!!!!

3)Did not gain and knowledge on their star products and other products because of the whole arrangement and time keep wasted and end up they are rushing to finish the workshop !!! What a waste for Luxasia not to fully utilise this workshop to get the participant's attention on it and make them loyal customer !

Door gift and products purchased - 2/10

Bright side :
Creamy make-up base as door gift worth Rm120 and Makeover voucher and some sachets small samples to try

Dark side:
2007 manufacture products as door gift? Normally cosmetic has 3 years shelves life and like that the door gift and other samples must be finished before next year!

And if not Miu I dont think would want to attend such an expensive workshop and being treated like that , feeling so unhappy till nowwwwww! However we dont blame Miu for the not so great workshop but the management.
