Lancome Ultra Lavande Spring 2011 Color Collection Swatch and Makeover

I went to try out Lancome Spring 2011 collection recently in Loreal HQ as face model recently . I think we are the first batch of public to get a glimpse of this Ultra Lavande Collection by Aaron De Mey.

Below are my swathes and makeover using one of the palettes

Ultra Lavande BY AARON DE MEY

The Ultra Lavande collection reignites the seventies spirit.

Lancome Spring 2011 Collection that will be launched in Malaysia.

The collection is named Ultra Lavande as the colors in this collection mainly are lavender and pink.

Butterflies motivated packaging on the palette cover

Lancome Ombre Absolue Mineral Eyeshadow Palette

Lancome Ultra-Lavande Warm Harmony

Color : Silver, light pink, violet and dark purple - i think the combination color is pretty common.

Texture of the eyeshadow is fine and i think not all the colors in the palette is pigmented except for darker shade in the palette.

A60 Ultra-Lavande Cold Harmony -

The colors here appear to be Golden , White, Light purple and Violet

Love the combination here, would want to see how many different looks can be made using this palette

The very beautiful La Rose Butterfly blush - a mix of different shades pink, lavender, violet and peach, which can be used to brighten up the complexion as it is created mostly out of mineral powder. This beautiful blusher is priced at RM110

The new must have blush is an original twist of two incontrovertible items of the 70's style: the bowtie and the butterfly designed by Alexis Mabille. In fashion, wearing a bowtie is the ultimate chic attitude, besides a way to express free-spirit and absolute lack of concern for what other people think. The butterfly is a multicultural symbol of free soul, feminity and beauty of nature

The swatch : Very light pink, with a touch of little shimmering in purple

Lancome French Touch Absolu Lipstick comes in 3 shades

Left to right : 310 Daisy Rose , 308 Lili Rose and 312 Berry Rose

The lipstick is very pigmented. I personally like Daisy Rose :)

It is in light pink color and more suitable to draw inner corner of eyes to highlight

I tried the Lancome Ultra-Lavande Warm Harmony , the colors are soft and the eyeshadow texture are quite fine and would say better than previous collection.

Very pretty feminine / spring makeup.

I am interested to try the Lancome Ultra-Lavande Cold Harmony because I saw the combination looks more special to the one I used.

This collection will be officially launched by end of the month in Malaysia. And I am expecting to see the price for the products would be the same like the previous collection (i.e eyeshadow palette RM140, lipstick RM75)

My Pretty F.O.X Cosmetic Makeover !

Last month I was invited to go for a a personalized makeover session and get to know their products session with F.O.X Csometics

So let's see how is my makeover

And I of course went with bare face (save my cosmetics!)

These are their best seller - Makeup Primer 3 in 1 Solution which has a total of 6 types.

And Alvin the Chief Make-Up Artist who is doing my makeover used 3 of it !



He said different makeup base gives different finishing and effect.

MP01 - Soft White
MP04 - Natural Beige
MP06- Tender Purpe

He said the mixture is to create even up my skin tone, brighten it up and moisturize my face.


These makeup premier 3 in 1 comes with SPH 30UV protection which is good enough as sunblock. The cream texture is light and contains HA antioxidant Vitamin E mulberry extracts


Mix all together ( I know its weird to have 3 makeup base to be mix together but seems to looks great on me !)

My face looks flawless and radiant after putting on the liquid foundation.



Eyes , is one my favourite part while doing makeup. And here Alvin created a 3D dimension for my eyes

I asked for green eye makeup for that day to match with my green blouse :)

He used 4 colors from the palette to create this pretty look.

I must say I am very surprise to find out that F.O.X Cosmetics eyeshadow are very pigmented and it is as good or comparable to my MAC or Lunasol! And it is very long lasting too !

See with one swipe to do the swatch, the color are so vibrant and pretty !!

My final touch of makeup is done

Alvin put a very soft and natural pair of F.O.X premium eyelashes on my eyes that night, nothing too dramatic , just add in a little bit of volume and length for my lashes.

Did you all realised the tip of the fake lash band is in black color hence give us a more natural look.

My friends who went out with me that night said they didnt realised I have fake eyelashes on even though my eyes appeared larger.

And of course this must pair with F.O.X best seller, the Vibrating Infinite Powermascara which is a vibrating mascara to gives 360 degree perfectly coated lashes without clumping and clogging.

The mascara seems to separate , lengthen and stay on my lashes quite well , as it is waterproof and smudge proof.

I was told that this mascara is vibrating at 7200 per minute and last about 3 months on regular daily usage. Best part of this, it comes with an auto power cut-off upon capping the mascara.
A must try for mascara lover !!!

And finally I am done with the makeover ! And I totally love the look he created for me.

Don't think I can re-create this again myself >.<

My Say : Overall I am pretty happy with the makeover. I like the quality of the cosmetics that they offer and is a great alternative as their price is slightly a bit cheaper than the branded counter-brand. And I do think this brand is worth trying and have a lots more to explore.


Currently they have counters in Parkson Sunway Pyramid, Parkson Sg Wang and Parkson 1 Utama.
