The official launch of Toshiba Summer Art 2011 Collection

Last month I went to Toshiba Summer Art 2011 Collection launching at the new Double Tree Hotel, where Toshiba Singapore Computer Systems Division (CSD), a division of Toshiba Singapore Pte Ltd launched 3 latest model of notebooks for this season. The notebooks are Portege R830 , Satellite L700 and Satellite E300.

Toshiba Satellite E300

A lightweight laptop at a mere 2.24kg, comes in Champagne color, featured all-new exclusive design hallmarked by a lightweight Aluminum cover and sturdy case with an LED backlist raised tile keyboard and all new touch pad design with seamless right and left mouse button.

This is definitely a laptop suitable for traveler and people with fast-paced lifestyle that need a laptop that is lightweight come properly equipped for maximum performance.

Toshiba Portege R830

Toshiba Satellite L700 Series

Featuring the Toshiba glossy Fusion Finish with the new 3D Dot Pattern in 5 distintive colors - Grace Silver, Precious Black, Modena Red, Luxe White and Modena Brown, the Satellite L700 series also includes premium flat keyboards and wide multi-touch TouchPads. Also each notebook in this series come equipped with a separate NVIDIA Graphics Card for enhanced multimedia performance.

They also introduced a new range of Toshiba Portable Hard Drives Art Series featuring the new SuperSpeed USB 3.0 interface, which offers blazing fast file transfers uhe speed up to 10 times the speeds of USB 2.0 Hard Drives. Comes in 2.5 inches , it includes the easy-to-use features - Windows based NTI Backup EZ software which allows the users to backup and restore complete systems in event of a crash. User can boot up and restore from directly from the Drive with USB connectivity or from a bootable CD. It is available in 500GB and 1TB of HDD space

After the official launching, we saw some artists doing their artwork at the event.

It is interesting how they came out with different ideas to match the Summer collection. Little did we know, the medias and bloggers are also invited to join the drawing contest.

The Official Launch of Xixili's Green Bosom Bra Recyling Campaign!

Last few weeks I attended the Official launch of Xixili's Bosom Bra Recycling Campaign and revealing their brand ambassador Miss World Malaysia 2010 Nadia Heng at their flagship store in Pavilion.

Puan Wan Hasmah who officiated the ceremony said that the Green Bosom Bra Recycling campaign hopes to encourage young ladies to be sensible when purchasing quality products and become green warriors by donating used or unused bras to any Xixili Stores.

Ms Joanne Khoo Brand Founder and CEO of Xixili Intima came in the pretty green dress said that there are some women out there that may not be so fortunate and the price of a new bra may be out of reach and she hopes that with this Green Bosom Bra Recycling Campaign Xixili can able to instill the concept of bra recycling in the minds of women from all walks of life.

Nadia Heng the newly appointed ambassador for Xixili shared that Recycling is advocated within society for almost everything under the sun, but when it comes to recycling undergarments it is almost unheard of and hopes that through Xixili more people will be more aware of that recycling undergarments could actually helps those unfortunate women out there.

Present to lend support for this meaningful event were the local famous celebrities Amber Chia, Charmaine Poo, Cassandra Patrick and Liyana Fizi

Datuk Jimmy Choo was there to to support for good cause too!!! And actually the night before this event I saw him from far in the Stylo - The Glass Slipper Gala Night , and didn't know I will see him in person in Xixili's event. He is very down to earth and friendly even though he is the man who designed the late Princess Diana's shoes!!


p/s: How I wish if he could design a pair of stilettos for me one day *dreaming mode*!!

Review : Clarins UV Plus Hp Day Screen High Protection

Note : There are two type, one is the neutral color sunblock which I am reviewing here and another one is tinted skin tone color.

Review : Although the sunscreen comes in white color, there is no white residue left on my skin after I applied it. My face feel smooth and it felt as if nothing has been applied on my skin. My skin did not turn out to be greasy even though I went under the sun for few hours due to sweating and I believe this is because of their light-weight formula designed for this sunblock.
I like the fact it comes in high SPH and promises to give very high antioxidant and anti-pollution protection to our skin. Most importantly protect our skin against premature aging. And this is so far my the best sunblock I ever tried. The only down side of this product is of course the price i.e it is being sold for RM156 for 30ml (but i think this is a good buy because it's really good!)

Review : Clarins White Plus Hp Skincare range

Clarins whitening series skincare has been in the market for a few year and this year they are launching a few items this year to complete their latest whitening series collection i.e Clarins White Plus Hp with sea lily and daisy flower extract.

Sea lily has the unique ability to control the skin's melanin production and prevent it from reaching the skin's surface by controlling the delivery of melanin to your skin cells.



Daisy extract contains polyphenols to fight harmful free radicals as it soothes skin against the elements. And this daisy extract will continues to work at night repairing, de-stressing and relaxing the skin for overnight recovery.

I tried their Hydraquench's series (i.e the hydration range) before and totally in love with it. But now stop using it for a while as my hydration level is quite fine now and my concern is more about pigmentation and uneven skin tone hence I am looking forward to try their whitening series.

Am glad to share with you all here some of the Clarins's White Plus Hp products that I have been testing for the past 1 weeks to 2 weeks ( Note : some products are sample size so don't last me long enough to let me see the result)

Clarins White Plus HP Pearl-to-Cream Brightening Cleanser - RM115/125ml

A creamy texture and a lightweight foam which perfectly cleanses the skin, tightens pores and brightens the complexion while respecting the hydrolipidic film. Skin is fresh, soft and comfortable.

Texture : cream based cleanser in transparent pearl color
Smell : strong water lily flower smell ( I like it!)

Lather with water and it turn into milky.

Review : Feels clean and slight brightening effect but at the same time face feel very dry and tight.

Clarins White Plus Hp Whitening Soft Aqua Milk which is their toner/lotion - RM145/200ml

A smooth and comfortable milky lotion to relax and soften skin. It restores a smooth, luminous aspect and brightens the complexion. Perfect for dry-prone skin or in cold climates.

Texture : Pale yellow watery liquid
Smell : strong water lily flower smell

Review : Cant see any different in term of brightening as the lotion only lasted me few applications only. After I applied it using cotton pad, my face did felt a bit sticky but it does not bother me.

Clarins White Plus Hp Intensive Whitening Smoothing Serum -RM260/30ml

Helps to fights wrinkles, dark spots and a dull complexion thanks to Alchemilla, Raspberry, Vitamin C and oils of Palm and Coconut. It minimizes dark spots and helps prevent new ones from forming.

Texture : White lotion
Smell : Strong water lily flower smell

Review : Absorb into my skin immediately after application and my skin does feel smoother (and not feeling sticky at all) . Scars do look a bit brighter after few applications.

Clarins Shaping Facial Lift Lipo-drain serum - RM225/50ml

This smooth, refreshing serum instantly lightens the face to reveal more refined facial contours. It firms the features, to lift and rejuvenate. The face is refined and protected from dark spots while the complexion is brighter and radiant.

Texture: White milky lotion
Smell : Strong floral smell

Review : This Shaping Facial Lift has an unique way to apply this on our face i.e Clarins Manual Auto-Lifting Method for better result. After application my face does feel smoother and not sticky. However this 1 small tube which only allow me 1 time application I could not see if my face shape is more refined. But definitely I can say with the floral smell I feel more relaxing after following the Clarins Aut0-Lifting Method.

Clarins Whitening Repairing Night Cream RM240/50ml . This was launched on March 2011.

The first night cream to act against hyperpigmentation due to daytime UV rays and stress accumulated from morning to night. Also Soothes, regenerates and moisturizes the skin. It slows the production of melanin during the night. Skin is brighter and more radiant in the morning. Thanks to a draining action, the face appears smooth and rested.

Texture : White cream
Smell : Light water lily flower smell

Review : The cream absorb into my skin immediately after application. In fact it was a bit sticky after application however after a while the it is no longer sticky (maybe because my room is equiped with air-condition and we on it most of the time) and woke up the next morning feeling my face is supple and smooth. I tried applied on the second night and sleep with fans on, and when I woke up the face feel a little bit sticky, but I'm still comfortable with it. As the night cream tube given was a sample size, I can't see brightening effect with few application but definitely feel my face is hydrated even though this is a whitening range. So I don't think this is suitable for people with super oily skin.


Apart from the Night cream, Clarins also launched 2 news products under this range, Gentle Renewing Brightening Peel and Gentle Brightening Exfloliator , however I yet to try this two products at this moment.


Generally I think Clarins has strong floral smell and if you are one who are not fancy of strong fragrance smell then you might not like them. Personally I find this smell pleasing and relaxing. And the products is quite mild (always suitable for sensitive skin) and worth trying as it does not cause me any irritations during my trial period.
