Texture : Not very sticky

Scent : sweet caramel fragrance , making me feel hungry!

Effect : With just one swipe, it gives me a very even, vibrant and shinny finishing. It also has this small shinny gold sparkles which gives me a luxurious feeling.

Review: I swipe one layer of L’Oreal Paris Glam Shine 6H over my lips and found that its sufficient to give me the quite a good & even coverage of colour & shinning-ness on my lips that I could actually forgo my lipstick for once a while (although you cant see this clearly in the above pic). I also like the fact that it comes with very very fine sparkles that are quite long lasting in my lips even after few good hours although the colour are faded by a little bit by then. As it is not very sticky & drying, its definitely very comfortable to use on my lips.

A while ago I attended their media launching where they launched Dermalogica AGE smart Age Reversal Eye Complex to be the part of the AGE Smart range.

Jesie Hong, Group Education Manager of Dermalogica Malaysia said that signs of premature aging, such as fine lines and wrinkles, uneven and hyper-pigmentation, dehydration, and loss of elasticity and firmness at the eyes area, can be primarily attributed to exposure to ultraviolet radiation (or the sun’s UV rays), which causes biochemical reactions, triggering structural changes or damages to skin. She said that today Dermalogica has found an unique approach to treat these aging signs by addressing the source of these changes in the skin.

She said that there are mainly three types of biochemical reactions and triggers to skin aging and Dermalogical has found the solutions to fight these three triggers which are:-

1) To reduce the production of ROS (Reactive Oxygen Species)
2)Slow down the formation of MMPs (Matrix Metalloproteinases) and stimulate production of Hyaluronic Acid
3)To capture the excess sugar molecules in order to prevent the formation of AGEs (Advanced Glycation End Products) in the skin.

Key Ingredients: A blend of multi-vitamins and active botanicals that includes Red Seaweed, Rice Extract, Soy Protein Phyto-estrogens, Kukui Nut and Licorice.

How To Use: Smooth over cleansed skin morning and night. Concentrate on areas with signs of visible aging to restore resilience and strength. Allow to absorb for one minute before make-up application.

Dermalogica AGE smart Power Rich which sounds good comes with a pricey price which is at RM695.00 for 5 tubes X 10ml. And I don't think I could afford this now even if it works on me but maybe one day I will splurge on this!

So I am wondering if anyone has try this Power Rich or any of the Dermalogical Age Smart range before and what are your thoughts on these or whether it works on your skin ?

Review : Mentholatum Waterlip Balm

Mentholatum lip balm is one of the brand which I have used during my secondary school day as it is one of the most affordable one. I always remember having the cooling effect from their lip balm and I guess that is their trademark. Well now Mentholatum has introduced the enhanced Waterlip range with improved intense hydration formula by using Super Hyaluronic Acid! It is a substance that gives long lasting moisture to the lips while the presence of Collagen helps improve texture and elasticity of our lips.

Review : I think that this would be a very affordable lip balm to use for day time as it comes with SPF15PA+. It does gives some hydration to my lips but I need to re-apply every 1-2 hours compare my existing lip balm as the texture is lighter. I found that since texture is not very greasy, it has the advantages of allowing me to actually immediately apply my lipstick on it after applying the Waterlip balm.

And well I attended their Pure Beauty Brand Ambassador - Media Announcement Workshop just recently together and I was arranged to sit with Cheesie at the front row.

Well the main agenda of the event was to of course to announce that Fish Leong was the their first brand ambassador for the Pure Beauty Skincare product range. This award winning Malaysian songbird has naturally flawless skin, natural beauty, vitality, radiance and confidence which makes her the obvious choice to endorse the Pure Beauty Brand.

Apart from that, members of media were shown a preview of Pure beauty TVC and Mag Ad before it was shown to the public.

And of course if we take good care of our physical looks, it does help to boost up a little bit our self confidence :)

After the events, there is a hands on workshop for members of media for us to try the products on the spot.

Ms.Vivian Loo, BA Manager will shared with us the right steps/ways to use Pomegranate Antioxidant Skincare range.

Of course I took this opportunity to try out this range for the first time too.

I removed all my makeup in order to join the hands on workshop. Let me share with you some thoughts of the products.

Pure Beauty has 3 types of cleansing oil to suits different skin type.

Left to right : Perfect Cleansing Water (sensitive skin), Perfect Cleansing Liquid (dry skin) and Perfect Cleansing Oil (oily skin)

I tried the Perfect Cleansing Liquid, it was quite okay to use to clean off my makeup on my face.

Pomegranate Antioxidant 2-in-1 Foam Cleanser

A fluffy, skin-loving cleanser which doubles up as a mask, our 2-in-1 gel contains a natural complex of fruit and herbal extracts that gently de-stresses skin, unclogs pores and detoxifies to leave skin energized and refreshed.

This creamy foam cleanser cleans up face quite well but surprisingly it does not have that much foam as I would expect which it is good. However as per the description above, this is a cleanser can be used as a mask too as it can helps to deep cleanse our pores too. I would think this cleanser is okay to be used as a cleanser, but if its used as a mask on myself I would think it is a bit drying for my dry skin.

Pomegranate Antioxidant Toner

Made with a natural herbal complex that blends pomegranate oil with oriental herb extracts, this softening facial toner possess superb antioxidising capabilities that purify skin and reverse signs of aging and fatigue. It just takes a little... and your skin will become visibly softer, smoother and brighter every day.

The texture of the lotion is a bit thick but after I applied this on with cotton, immediately I can feel my skin is properly hydrated from the dry effect of the mask. It is important to apply toner as it prepares our skin by balancing the pHs of our skin before before it's ready for nutrients absorption.

it has the renewing power of nature in their treatment essence. This serum would definitely suits all skin type as it is watery in texture and easy to absorb.
