I was extremely lucky to be able to meet up & had an exclusive interview with two World Coffee Masters, Jay Isais & Jesse Martinez from Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf home office, i.e California, US. And the last time they are here in Malaysia 7 years ago!



Mr Jay is the Senior Director of Coffee, Roasting & Manufacturing in Coffee Bean home office. He is responsible for selecting the best green coffee beans available from world's finest growing regions, as well as for all coffee & tea manufacturing, for warehousing and distribution worldwide. He hunts from Latin America and East Africa to South Asia and the Pacific and he told me that Costa Rica is the largest coffee supplier for Coffee Bean.

While Jesus (Jesse) Martinez-Beltran is Master Roaster at Coffee Bean Master Roasters, he is responsible for coffee quality control & roasts The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf beans daily in small batches, conducting and supervising the process manually to ensure that each batch is roasted to perfection

I'm sure everyone has this question in mind!

HOW TO MAKE A GOOD CUP OF COFFEE (without much effort or knowledge)?



Mr Jay then showed me this the CBTL Single Serve Beverage System and I wondering why he showed me this!

This CBTL Single Serve Beverage System is designed in Italy and to be used exclusively with The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf hand-selected premium espresso, coffee and hand-plucked whole-leaf tea capsules, this CBTL System combines modern technology, functionality and Italian design to create the perfect cup with just one touch.

Existing machines in the market make espresso only or coffee and tea only but with CBTL System we can makes espresso, coffee & tea with just one touch!



And of course I tried to make a cup of coffee during the interview session!



Yes this is the instruction and it is so simple!

Each espresso capsule, coffee capsule and tea capsule features an internal two-filter system to ensure evenly balanced extraction and optimal flavor.

No way to go wrong with this, because it's so simple to use! 




And a perfect cup of coffee ready to be enjoy!

But I always prefer cappuccino or latte over black cofffee!

And best of all we do not even need to wash this CBTL Single Serve Beverage System after using it because it disposes the capsule at into the large capsule drawer that holds up to 10 capsules situated just behind the drip tray. Best for the lazy people like me!




Well this CBTL Single Serve Beverage System comes in two models i.e the Kaldi and the Contata. Both offer have the automatic proportioning system that ensures consistency in taste and aroma...all thanks to the unique twin pressure system that provides high pressure to capture all the aroma, texture, flavor and great crema of espresso, while gentle pressure allows flavors in coffee and tea to develop naturally and with great balance.

Contata available in Gray/Black and is priced at RM880 and Kaldi which has an ultra-sleek design is available in Metalic Red, Metalic Black, Metalic Blue/Silver , Metalic Gold/Silver and Metalic White/Silver is priced at RM980.




Each CBTL capsule is hermetially sealed to prolong freshness and preserved the delicate aroma. In addition, the internal double filtration system ensures evenly balanced extraction & optimal flavour. These single serve capsule are packaged 10 per box with retail price of RM21.00

Macy’s Going for Gold campaign, supporting our Malaysian Badminton team in Olympics 2012!


London 2012 Olympic Games has started for a few day and as our eyes are on Malaysian team, Macy, one of the largest retailers of home furnishings in Malaysia gears up to celebrate in a big way. With the Malaysian badminton team in particular as one of the favourites with its sights on gold, Macy aims to rally as many Malaysian’s as possible to root for our nation’s badminton team and at the same time reward its customers. Yay all of us hope Lee Chong Wei can bring win Malaysian first gold medal!!

Macy’s Going for Gold campaign is doing just that, going for gold! Upon the Malaysian Olympic badminton team taking home gold, Macy promises a full refund to 50% of its customers.

Means if Malaysia wins a gold in badminton Macy will offer a full refund to 50% of their customers. There is no limit on the refund and he or she is entitled to a full refund. It’s a really crazy idea but Macy believes it’s worth every penny!

FOTD : My attempt to re-create Japanese model Mai Miyagi's look



Most Japanese girls are blessed with fair & good skin. And I think not only their genetic is good but they really took the effort to take care of their skin! I remembered when I was in Japan earlier this year, I saw not only young woman but even middle aged woman or grandma busy buying skincare & makeup as well as if they are buying groceries. Be it beauty counters or drugstore, it is always full of ladies busy browsing beauty items from day to night! No girls will actually go out without makeup basically! And now I know it's genuine when Japanese brands clainmed they sell x number milion of product in Japan every minute, because Japanese are obessed with beauty products!

If you have realised in the pictures I posted here, I used to like very heavy eyes makeup until recently I like to go natural makeup because it is so easy to match with any outfit! And I always like how Japanese can still looked pretty in their simple nude makeup! Nude here would means the makeup we put on will only enchance face feature & it would look as if its natural beauty.

And this is a picture of Mai Miyagi (a Japanese model) looked in the Kiss Me fake eyelashes packaging and I really like how she look here. So here I am challenged to re-create this look and mainly will be using Kiss Me products !

The highlight of the look is the eyes, here I'm featuring Kiss me Heavy Rotation Styling Eyelash (RM42.90) and I'm trying them for the first time. The one I'm having here is RICH type which I think it would gives my eyelashes a richer look.

The eyelashes is soft & easy to wear.



Nude eye makeup would means no fancy & vibrant colour. Here I am using one of my favourite eyeshadow pallete which I bought in Japan earlier this year i.e Lavshuca in OR-1 as it has this beautiful orange eyeshadow that will brighten up my eyes instantly with other matching beige and brown colour! If you ever going to go Japan, do chck out Lavshuca at any drugstore , the eyeshadow quality is as good as Lunasol one but cost less than RM50 for a palette!

The eyelashes really makes my eyes stand out and I like how it looked more awake!
