Lancome Rouge in Love Bloggers Party

Last Saturday I was invited to join the Lancome Rouge in Love Bloggers Party in Suria KLCC Concourse area. The makeup counters are set up so colourfully in pink & red.

There were contest for the public who came to the roadshow.

There were makeup table for the public to have a makeover with certain amount of purchase and most importantly to allow the public to try the new Rouge in Love Lipstick which is why I am there for!

I love the shade Emma Watsons is wearing here! She is wearing the new Lancome Rouge in Love shade 181N Midnight Rose.

Note : I was told Rouge in Love range sold in Asia would be different from those available in western countries as our formula are specially formulated in Japan and I think it is more sheer to suit our skintone.

The event started with Hana greeting us! Love the dress she is wearing here, very feminine and pretty!

Here Reuben is introducing the Rouge in Love lipstick range, there are a total of 27 beautiful colours in total which are categories in 3 different categories or moments. The categories are:-

Jolins Matins (M) :

Under the roofs of Paris, a new dawn has broken. The morning light filters in through the windows of her bedroom, gently waking her. She takes a moment to gather herself. A scented bath, some time to read... A love note written on the bathroom mirror, a touch of lipstick later and a beautiful day begins, whether she’s a working girl or fashionista on the go. I would think this is our usual everyday lipstick to wear to work.

Boudoir Time (B)

Special times with friends in the late afternoon. The time for catch ups and the sharing of secrets. Where do they meet? In a cosy but chic and stylish lounge, surrounded by satin cushions, cupcakes and designer clothes. I'll assume this is the afternoon/evening shade to wear on weekends when I'll meeting my friends for lunch or tea time.

Tonight is my Night (N)

The magic of a night in Paris. The twinkling lights of the city, the buzz of the coolest clubs to be seen in where private concerts are playing. A night filled with promise, of a moment to be seized. Of an encounter, perhaps... From the description, I would think one who wear lipstick in this category wanteded to impress and standout especially during her night out.

Even though it's a Saturday morning, all these bloggers (including myself also!) are so energetic snapping pictures while watching the expert doing makeover demostration.

Zamri Zainol, Lancome National Makeup Artist did a full makeover on Jezmine. He was good like his usual self, sharing tips and showing step by step of the makeover.

After watching the demo, there is a mini game for bloggers where we can only use Rouge in Love lipstick to draw the face and the most creative group will win!

Team Zuriey and Zarah won the contest, her team drawed Zuriey's face with trees and branches!

Just before the event end, Tracyln was anounced as the best dressed! She came fully prepared and definitely deserved winning it because she told me she woke up at 7am to do her hair & makeup.

My first impression of Rouge in Love lipstick is that texture is smooth and it's moisturizing too!

Awww...I love this beautiful romantic video featuring Michelle Phan where she is wearing the new Lancome Rouge in Love lipstick & how the super good looking finally found her!

Avon celebrates Mother's Day with Recordbreaking Makeovers

Avon celebrated a momentous Mother's Day with a new Malaysian Record for the largest simultaneous mom & daughter makeover session in Malaysia last Sunday.

As many as six thousands of mothers and daughthers at 196 Avon Beauty Boutiques nationwide who took part in the event.

And just in Sungei Wang itself, there are hundred of pairs of mother & daughther came for the free makeovers, each of them were given professional photoshoots after the makeover. All picturs will be uploaded to Avon Malaysia's facebook page, where fans will be able to vote for their favourite photogenic mum & daughter pairs. The top 3 winners will receive cash prizes and Avon producs worth up to RM2,000.

Review : Majolica Majorca Blood On (Lip & Cheek Stain) giving beautiful healthy glow

Majolica Majorca Blood On (Lip & Cheek stain) was launched for this year Spring/Summer 2012. This limited edition jelly-like texture promises to gives the perfect color & glow for our cheek & lip. I read that the formula of this product makes it a perfect base for other cheek & lip colors. When layered under powder blush, lipstick & gloss, the colour is even more enchaned.

Like the name suggested Blood one, the colour does looked like red blood colour! It comes in a slim and handy screw-on pot and since it does not comes with a brush, I use my fingers to dab in and blend.

So make sure clean your fingers before dipping in !

Scent : None

Texture: The gel/jelly-like texture is not soft type but rather solid type. Because of the texture, recommended to use fingers to blend

Colour Intensity: With one swipe the colour is very sheer and it does not show up at my lip at all cos my natural lip colour is already quite red. So to build up the intensity of the colour, you just got to dab and re-apply until you get the result you want. But the maximum result is like my 3rd swipe.

Even with 2 swipes, if you blend it.. it turns out to be very light red glowy colour. I really like the sheer colour here and it is not like what the name suggested like blood's colour but rather pretty raspberry red.

I applied at least 3 layers

Review for as lip stain : As Majolica Majorca Blood is very sheer in colour and does not have any sticky feeling. I applied at least 3 layers to achieve the result above. It does not give hydrate or dry out my lip which means I would put on a layer of lip balm before applying this. I like how the colour actually turned out on my naturally red lip, it is pinkish & looked glowing. However I think the end result of the colours shown on one's lip will depend on the person's shade of lip. The lip colour is not long lasting, therefore re-applying is needed after each meal.

Review as cheek stain : I usually use my fingers to dab in the pot and apply on my cheek. The texture is very easy to blend however to build up the colour intensity and here I have to re-applied 3-4 times. I like how it gives me the rosey cheek look, very natural healthy glow and it is lasted me the whole day!

I can foresee Majolica Majorca Blood On will be a rescue on days where I have no makeup on because its 2 in 1 for lip & cheek and easy to use for really quick touch up to have a healthy glowing look. And with its small&light size, this is a definitely it is a great keeper in every woman's handbag! Just make sure you clean your fingers before applying each time.

Physiogel Blogger Workshop

It was really informative as before this I could not differentiate between atopic enzema and other eczema. I was really keen to find out what is eczema about as my sister herself has eczema problem, and I wish I could find out more to share the knowledge.

He shared that atopic eczema is usually happened on first 5 years of life of baby. And I confirmed that my sister do not have atopic eczema (thank god!) because atopic eczema is not curable and it can only be controlled. The cause of atopic eczema is not known, but the disease seems to result from a combination of genetic (hereditary) and environmental factors.

The thing about atopic eczema is that one willl have the uncontrolable urge to scratch it and it is a torture especially to the baby who haven't learn to talk.

We were told th approximately 20% n Malaysia and Singapore with 90% of sufferers developing the atopic eczema condition before the age of 5 years old.

One that has atopic eczema will have physical skin damage from the excessive itchy scratch and in the end he/she will have inflamation. As a result, the person skin become red & dry.

The cycle.

As you can see it is important to keep the skin moisture so that the skin would not be itchy. As when one has itchy scratch, there will be chances of inflamation & infection hence causing the skin dry. So the one thing one can help to reduce the risk is to make sure the skin is hydrated.

If the skin is dry, it will trigger the itchy scratching symptoms.. just like tha sponge bob (dry outside)

This is how serious atopic eczema can be. I felt heartbroken when I see this picture :(

Although atopic eczema maybe a genetical disease, it is important to keep a hygiene environment so that it will lessen the risk to trigger the atopic enzema symptoms.

Dr Leong said that one of the most important thing an atopic eczema patient should do is to keep the skin moisture. And one must choose the right moisturizer that are designed for eczema.
