I am not really a red lipstick person until very recently I try the Maybelline New York Color Sensational lipsticks in Are You Red-dy and since then I am addicted with red lipstick! I felt that the right red makes a woman feel powerful & sexy!

Review : It was easy to apply smoothly on my lips. I think this is a classic red that works on every skin tone colour. The colour is really rich and it lasts for a few good hours. I love how it is slighty shine and not overly too much. It is slightly drying and I usually apply a layer of lipbalm before applying this and it was great for the whole day. This is my favourite red lipstick for now and the name of the lipstick really matched with the colour itself!

Review : The first thing I noticed when I applied it on my lips is that it's heavily scented according to the lipbalm flavour you pick. As expected the Maybelline New York Baby Lips gives smooth & easy application. It is light and not greasy. I keep my lips moisturise for for few hours before I need to re-apply it, love it because it has SPF 20. However the only thing I do not like about this lipbalm is the scent (i.e cherry) which is too strong for my liking. However I am not sure of the others flavour cause I gave the other away to family & friends to try and there seems no complain from them. Usually I prefer my lipbalm scent to be mild or just un-scented.

Texture : Balmy and wax feel-alike-feeling

I did a swatch on my hands and at first it shows no colour and within seconds the colour showed. However it is not too strong, just very light peach colour.

My review : My lips has an uneven colour tone and after applying Maybelline Lip Smooth Colour Bloom it gave me a even,healthy and slight shine lip colour without looking too intense. However there is one thing that I do not fancy about this product is that the waxy feeling after applying this.

Yesterday I went to this awesome Heineken Green Room party and since the name of the event is GREEN, I decide to have some green colour eyeshadow on my eye makeup.

p/s: Pls excuse me for my un-trimmed eyebrow. I gotta to make appointment for that now!

I decided to do a bit of colour mixing and Oceanus is my theme...i.e blue and green would be my main colour. And this is my first time writing down the steps after so long of not doing makeup of the day post, please excuse me if this sounds confusing.

I applied the beige colour from the Lavshuca palette all over my eyelid as a base colour. Then I applied the jungle green from the Shu Uemura palette all over the eyelid lightly and then the dark blue colour from Lunasol palette at the outer corner of the eyes to the middle and start blending in and mix with the jungle green colour. Then I applied the lime colour from the Shu Uemura palette at the inner corner of the eyelid and blend all the way to the middle. To make my eyes looked a bit bigger, I applied a thin line of jungle green colour below my eye lid from outer corner of my eyes to the middle and apply a little bit of lime colour at the lower eyelid from the middle to the inner of the eyes. Last but not least, I applied the white shimmering eyeshadow from Lunasol palette at my eyebrow.

This is my new love, the colour is nude pink with no shimmer is perfect to pair with heavy eye makeup. This lip gloss has very nice sweet cherry scent and like to use it when the lip gloss is not sticky. Not only the colour of the lip gloss is pigmented, it gives my lips a very glossy look!

I think all my pictures are so exposed (means its too bright) and hence the eye makeup colour don't really show here *heartbroken*

Check out my makeup inspired by Maybelline New York Fashion Week "Mystery Maven"

Recently Maybelline has created few looks which is inspired from the New York Fashion Week. There are a total of 4 looks , GI Jane, Sexy Starlet, Party Princess and Mystery Maven. Each of them has different personality and I can sort of relate myself more to Mystery Maven and hence I am going to create the look based on the color suggestion.

Here let me showed you how I achieve this look using a few Maybelline products only.

I like how the AngelLift Flawless Natural Liquid Foundation is watery yet give a decent coverage on my skin. Love how my skin feel smooth and flawless!

Angel Lift Perfect Concealer has quite a good coverage too, and matches my skin tone .

Bef0re and after I put the foundation picture , you can see my skin become more even, bright and pores are not that visible anymore.

"Mystery Maven" look is based on the deep blue mysterious seas colour. So here I used the Maybelline Hyper Diamonds in BU-1. This beautiful palette comes with a combination of blue and silver colours and it is full with sparkles and glitter! I love how the eyeshadow sparkles and glitter will fall on my cheek and gives me a sense of glam :D

The light blue was applied all over my eye lid as the base color and then I used the steel blue colour and put it at the outer corner of my eyes and blend to create the intensity of the smokey eyes I want to create. Then I put on the dark blue on my upper and lower lash lines to create the dimension that my eyes will look bigger. Lastly to highlight the bone under my brow arch I dab on on some white eyeshadow.

I use the Maybelline Hypersharp Liner to give better definition to my eyes and put on the Hyper Diamond Liquid Liner in silver at the inner corner of my eyes to make my eyes look bigger.

Here I used Maybelline the magnum Volum Express Mascara to make my eyes looked volume and awake . Pretty simple to apply, and it does not clump lashes too!

Here is my eye makeup look with the above 4 products


And since this is a heavy smokey eyes makeup, I applied this Creamy Cinnamon blusher on my cheek.

And this is how does the color of the blusher turn out on my cheek. Very natural and glowing!

This "Mystery Maven" look must pair with very strong and bold lip color. So I choose Blushing Red lipstick to get the look I want.

And top up with Maybelline Watershine Collagen Lipgloss in CP21! Love this lip gloss which is not sticky,glossy and smells so fruity!

Review : Maybelline Hypersharp Liner

A while ago I blogged about the launched of this Maybelline Hypersharp Liner and I have been having using it for a while before writing this a while.

The eyeliner came in a form of pencil and it like it that way as it is easy to hold and control, like here I can use it and used it to write it like a penci.

The color of the eyeliner is black and as mentioned in the earlier post, this eyeliner brush diameter is at 0.05mm. And when I swatched the eyeliner, easily I can draw a thin line

It is stated that the eyeliner gives you long lasting effect for 24 hours, 100% percent water, sweat and sebum proof as it has this unique hyper-coating polymers that set a strong film on lashes upon application. Hence it protected your lashes against the elements leaving you with the just-applied effect.

My review : I tried it on my eyes, and I love the fact it is easy to draw a very thin precise line that is as close as to my eyelashes and how it came in a form of pencil which is easy to control and easy to carry around.

However the one swipe of color black is not that intense as I would like it to be and I need to re-apply it to get the intensity of the color that I want, which is fine with me.

Lucky for me I do not have oily eyelid and the eyeliner seems to stay on me quite well throughout the day. However I discovered that the eyeliner is not that smudge proof, especially. I discovered that few weeks ago when my eyes was sensitive with the contact lens and keep blinking and there is a bit of tears and when I carefully dabbed away my tears... to my horror, the eyeliner smudged a little..

If only the formula could improved a bit better, I could be glad to have this eyeliner pencil both in my makeup pouch & handbag as the price is affordable.

I was invited to attend Maybelline Hypersharp Liner Launch Event a while ago and only by now I got time to blog about this.

The event was held at the il Lido Italian Dining & Lounge Bar in Off Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, KL.

The event was to launch their latest Maybelline Hypersharp Liner which by now has been in a market for a while.

We are told that this Maybelline Hypersharp Liner is currently No 1 eyeliner in Japan and has the sharpest point only at 0.05mm at the tip hence the an eyeliner line able to be drawn as close as possible to the lash line, provide the precise coverage.

Apart from that, I was told that this eyeliner does not stain, smudge and water/sweat/sebum proof which can give long lasting effect up to 24 hours.
