My Pretty F.O.X Cosmetic Makeover !

Last month I was invited to go for a a personalized makeover session and get to know their products session with F.O.X Csometics

F.O.X Cosmetics is founded in 2004 and currently it is a brand well known in Taiwan and always being featured in these famous beauty program named Ladies First (女人我最大).


Originally designed and formulated in the USA, f.o.x. which is an abbreviation of the phrase “fusion of expressions” reflects our founder’s brand vision since the point of conception – that is to create colour cosmetic products of professional quality yet easy to apply in creating any desired image anytime, anywhere. Since then, f.o.x has developed a full range of professional quality cosmetics for easy non-professional consumer use with professional results.

So let's see how is my makeover

And I of course went with bare face (save my cosmetics!)

These are their best seller - Makeup Primer 3 in 1 Solution which has a total of 6 types.

And Alvin the Chief Make-Up Artist who is doing my makeover used 3 of it !



He said different makeup base gives different finishing and effect.

MP01 - Soft White
MP04 - Natural Beige
MP06- Tender Purpe

He said the mixture is to create even up my skin tone, brighten it up and moisturize my face.


These makeup premier 3 in 1 comes with SPH 30UV protection which is good enough as sunblock. The cream texture is light and contains HA antioxidant Vitamin E mulberry extracts


Mix all together ( I know its weird to have 3 makeup base to be mix together but seems to looks great on me !)

My face looks flawless and radiant after putting on the liquid foundation.



Eyes , is one my favourite part while doing makeup. And here Alvin created a 3D dimension for my eyes

I asked for green eye makeup for that day to match with my green blouse :)

He used 4 colors from the palette to create this pretty look.

I must say I am very surprise to find out that F.O.X Cosmetics eyeshadow are very pigmented and it is as good or comparable to my MAC or Lunasol! And it is very long lasting too !

My final touch of makeup is done

Alvin put a very soft and natural pair of F.O.X premium eyelashes on my eyes that night, nothing too dramatic , just add in a little bit of volume and length for my lashes.

Did you all realised the tip of the fake lash band is in black color hence give us a more natural look.

My friends who went out with me that night said they didnt realised I have fake eyelashes on even though my eyes appeared larger.

And of course this must pair with F.O.X best seller, the Vibrating Infinite Powermascara which is a vibrating mascara to gives 360 degree perfectly coated lashes without clumping and clogging.

The mascara seems to separate , lengthen and stay on my lashes quite well , as it is waterproof and smudge proof.

I was told that this mascara is vibrating at 7200 per minute and last about 3 months on regular daily usage. Best part of this, it comes with an auto power cut-off upon capping the mascara.
A must try for mascara lover !!!

And finally I am done with the makeover ! And I totally love the look he created for me.

-Make UP Box II in Brown Shimmer - RM 120 ( very pigmented and intense eyeshadow color)
-Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner 5g - RM60 in Black Ink ( smudge proof and waterproof!)
-Vibrating Infinite Powermascara in 9ml - RM100 in Black Ink ( very good curling effect, smudge proof and waterproof)

Lips

My Say : Overall I am pretty happy with the makeover. I like the quality of the cosmetics that they offer and is a great alternative as their price is slightly a bit cheaper than the branded counter-brand. And I do think this brand is worth trying and have a lots more to explore.

2 months back, I was invited together with a bunch of blogger girls to the Bodyshop Christmas Party in Fahrenhitte88. So the party started at one evening where we are tiring after working all day However when we reached there, our eyes are wide opened looking at the colorful Bodyshop Christmas set

In this event also, Bodyshop also annouced that they have teamed up with PT Foundation (formerly known as Pink Triangle Sdn Bhd) to help spread AIDS awareness in a joint project themed "Be the Message" in Malaysia. PT Foundation is currently the largest community based NGO (non-profit organisation) working with the communities most affected by HIV in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Kudos on that!!

Anyone try before Garnier Skin Naturals Light Whiten & Even Moisturizing Cream ?

Garnier Skin Naturals Light Whiten & Even Moisturizing Cream contains two effective ingredients which is the Pure Lemon Essence™ and the Snowpine Whitesoure™ which works very well in whitening and lightening dark and dull skintone. Review : CUSKIN Super Sun Block Liquid 50 SPH PA+++

A while ago, I reviewed CUSKIN Whitening & Wrinkle Repair BB Cream and today am reviewing their CUSKIN Super Sun Block Liquid 50 SPH PA+++! And like I mentioned in my previous post CUSKIN is one of the leading Global Cosmeceutical Brand in Korea and its dermatologist tested.

According to the description, this is oil-free sun block intercepting UVB and UVA with light feeling of touch. It effectively protecting from UV rays and providing fresh feeling of application without being glossy and sticky. And it is sweat and water resistant.

List of ingredients

Key ingredients : Zinc Oxide , Titanium Dioxide, Octylmethaxy cinnamate

Shake well before I use

Color : White

Texture : Milky lotion type

Result : It does not left any white cast on my skin upon application. Although it stated its oil free and would not look glossy after application, however I feel a bit oily and glossy after application.

Pros : High SPH coverage, no white cast after application, sweat/water resistence
Cons : Oily & expensive

Sephora Malaysia is finally here , opening soon!

By this time, everyone might be aware that finally Sephora is in Malaysia ! They started drilling INfront of Starhill and everyone was so excited. And finally last week I saw the shape of the building , just like the poster shown last year.

Review : L'oreal Colour Riche Serum Infused in Tropical Coral

I was given #444 Tropical Coral to try

Just with 1-2 swipe , the intensity of the color showed on my lips. It managed to cover my uneven skintone on my lips nicely and the color is quite long lasting.

Although it is stated that it's serum infused, i feel somehow it's not as moisturise as I expected. Maybe my expectation is too high.

With flash on

My whole looks with L'oreal Colour Riche Serum Infused in Tropical Coral.

Pros : Color is intense, smooth texture, long lasting, price reasonable.

Cons : Not as moisturise as expected

My favorite Lunasol Skin Fusing Powder Foundation finally hit the pan!

This is one of my favorite powder foundation, Lunasol Skin Fusing Powder Foundation in #OC04 and I first bought to try in Oct 2009

Totally hit the pan and I used every single of powder in there! Economy is bad, shouldn't waste right!

Last me for a while, around 1 year I think. I don't use this everyday , only in some of my lazy day !

So quickly got my refill at Kanebo's warehouse clearance sale few months ago!

This is a quick fix for my lazy day when I need to do my makeup :)

Reason for re-purchasing : Color of the foundation totally match with my skin , (the only brand currently I found). The powder is very fine and managed to close my pores quite nicely. Coverage of the foundation is good that it cover my redness and pigmentation too!

Free Kanebo Skincare trial set to try, my Bad Experience!

I spotted this notice board at the entrance of Parksons KLCC at the cosmetic floor. Unfortunately there is no one at the promotion booth. So out of curiosity I walked all the way in to their counter which is quite far inside to asked about the promotion brochure I took from the booth at the entrance about their facial package.

Quite a good promotion, if you asked me .

Apparently now , Kanebo Parksons have their own facial room and therapist to do treatments. In the past, they only offer complimentary facial to those who purchase Kanebo products and bring their own product for the facial service.

BAD EXPERIENCE : When I got to their counter there are two SA, I asked one of the two SA named Alice in shoulder length hair about the promotion outside. Then I asked her about the skincare travel set which was stated on the notice board they display outside. She straight away told me that I must buy to get it. Then I told her that according to the board, one can get skincare travel set upon consultation. Then she looked so angry and reluctant. So I said is okay if you can't give it. And she replied in a very rude voice that you must fill up the forms to get it and put the form on the table!

I was shocked because all these while I been using Kanebo service all their SA (not just SA, their manager and the Taiwanese lady who owns Kanebo Malaysia) are very polite and well-mannared, which explained I always go back for their facial and body treatment service.

So I sat down and filled up the form and asked if I buy facial package in with my Parksons and still entitle to the 5% rebate. She said she don't know. Then I asked are you new here (assuming if she is then is fine) , but she did not answer. And she don't even bother to call Parksons to help me to check. Because if true enough I could get Parksons 5% rebate, then it is very good deal because assuming my facial package is RM1k, I can get cash rebate of RM50 which is quite a lot!

So I asked her do I need to fill up the form since I am already their Kanebo's member for facial and body treatment. Then she questioned me why haven't I try buy and use this skincare range before since I'm their facial customer!

Well, she has no right to question me what brands of skincare I use.

It doesn't mean that if I only go for a particular brand facial, I must use their skincare range! And as you girls know me here, am crazy of Kanebo because of Lunasol! And I'm their member for this very reason.

Anyway when I first started signing up Kanebo facial earlier this year due to persuasion of my SA in Isetan to try. Initially I signed up for their Revitalising Facial Treatment but now I went for their Impress Total Rejuvenating Treatment after I found out I like their lympahtic massage method. And both range do not use Blanchir's product. And the only Blanchir's range product I have at home is their night cream which I bought few months ago. So I thought this is a good opportunity to try out their others products in this range.

So unwillingly she took out this travel set from the cupboard and started saying this is a cleansing cream.. and etc.. and stop shortly after I finished filling up the form. And when I asked enquire cleansing cream... (as I have not try cleansing in cream type before) , she did not bother to answer me and roll her eyes looking at her colleague!!

So fine, I walked away with this set with a very huge disappointed over her service. And guess what , she was mumbling and saying something about me as I was walking out of the counter. That is the final draw. This is not the way how you treat any customer! This is totally unacceptable and I am not going back there ever! I think I am happy to stick with Kanebo Isetan SA (Emily and Lisa), which I always recommend to my friends

And to those who are thinking to go get the skincare trial set to try, I'll say Good Luck to you !

Later actually I found out from Parksons that even for facial package, I could still entitle to get 5% cash rebate! But too bad, am not going back there anymore.

p/s: And I was actually very moody yesterday and thought of window shopping to chill myself...and Thank you to Alice she made it worst!
