Review: Bimba & Lola Be Our VIP event!

Bimba & Lola has been in Malaysia since 2008. Opening their first store in The Gardens, subsequently in One Utama and Pavilion carrying a total of 3 boutique stores in Malaysia.

The name Bimba & Lola (sounds so cute, I like it!) comes from two Spanish sisters from a fashion retail family background. Their names also reflect the brand’s feminine, fresh and indulgent spirit with the logo (a greyhound) revealing their secret love of dogs.

I was invited to attend the Be Our VIP party at Pavilion by Kelvin few weeks ago. This event was attended by celebrities, beauty writer, fashion writer, blogger and of course their specially invited customers.



From shoes, bags, clothing and accessories, ... they have everything a woman needs with a touch of Spanish modern & unique style !

First thing I spotted when I walked into the stores was BAGS, BAGS and BAGS!

A kind of bags they have there.. but these is a few which I like !

And suprising the price is not as expensive as I thought! The small cutie bag on the first pic was around RM300 only !

Lots of beautiful and unique accessories to match with !

The event highlight was the fashion show!

I love how they mix and match !

Spotted dear Natacha Meunier , she was the recent Estee Lauder search model winner. She is HOT !

My October Sinful Haul !

I was just telling myself in the facebook on Sunday morning that I wanna to ban myself from shopping to save for my coming holiday tripsss in next year. A guy friend challenged that if I can try stop facebook-ing for 5 days continuously , then my 5 months shopping ban got hopes..While Anna straight said she don't believe I can do so.

I guess Anna was right.

Women are weak when it comes to shopping.

Especially where there is this super deal that no one can resist.

Die-die also want to go.

Sunday evening, I suggested my bf to go Midvalley to watch movie instead of Pavilion. When reach there went straight I went to Lewre. Busted, he said I came get the shoes rather than want come there for movies.. See how desperate am I !

So what makes me break my shopping woes !

If you been following for quite a while, you will know how much I am crazy about heels. (though now I dont wear them that much due to knee injury).

But still loves to wear them once a while.

So here is my sinful haul , from Lewre pre-renovation clearance in Midvalley last Sunday night. I went knowing that not much sizes and design left.

But pray hard I can find SOMETHING nice for myself!

And I DID !!

Managed to dig this sexy pair out from the pile of boxes that the SA told me that these are defect shoes. I checked few times, this pair is totally alright!!!

And got this green shoes heel as well! Just nice , as I do not own any green shoes yet !! My first one to match my green dress! Happy .

Which all the above, I have NOT tried before ! Yippeeee

I always heard about how good is Shu Uemura eyebrow trimming service but always no chance to try, and thanks to Cosmopolitan I am able to try for free!

I went to Shu Uemura's Midvalley to see Lisa Yap as she is the Shu Uemura International Accredited Artist and Brow Stylist after letting my eyebrow growing like jungle for a month.

Lisa went on plucking~plucking ~ and after 10 mins she is already done with her art work !

p/s: In Shu Uemura they do not use eyebrow shaver for the reasons our eyebrow re-grow quickly after shaving.


Anyway am going to show you my eyebrow jungle!

p/s: love my eyebrow shape now, the shape is so sexy!

The whole process was a bit painful as normally I do not pluck or shave my own eyebrow. Normally my facial therapist or makeup artist who is doing makeover for me will shave it off for me.

Minutes later, I found my new looks (giggles.. as if I have seen myself before).. I love it, it loojed neat, tidy and stylish. And I feel my eyes is more awake with the shape that Lisa created. And yeh more spaces for eyeshadow for highlighting.

p/s: I have tried threading and waxing as well, but I think plucking eyebrow is still the best before the shape is more well define.

I was advice to go back for trimming 3-4 weeks later to maintain the shape.

Lisa Yap eyebrow shaping service is RM50 while Shu Uemura Brow Atelier done by their makeup artist in-store are RM30 for eyebrow reshaping and RM20 for eyebrow keeping (i.e to remove the grown hairs)

I think Lisa's service is definitely worth it as this is the first time my eyebrow are really well-defined, clean and most importantly balance.

So what do you think ??

p/s: I think I am truly a convert now.. if in future I need reshaping of eyebrow shape, would look for Lisa ! And I think the price is reasonable for the skills that she has !
