Review : Melvita Naturalift Youthful Skin Complex -Eyes and Lips

A while ago I introduced Melvita in my blogpost here and today I am going to review one of the products that was given to me to try i.e Melvita Naturalift Youthful Skin Complex - Eyes and Lips from the Naturalift Hibiscus Skin Renewal range. This range was launched early January and the ingredients are various flower seeds with anti-aging functions, including hibiscus, pomegranate, rose hip, borage, Camelina, etc.

Melvita Naturalift Youthful Skin Complex - Eyes and Lips is an interesting 2 in 1 products where it can be used both on eyes and lips area and targets to smoothen fine lines and wrinkles around eyes and lips area.

It is made of Acacia gum, combined with Buckwheat wax to diminish puffiness, as well as Chlorella - a detoxifying micro-algae that effectively combats dark circles. Honey and Stevia leaf provide moisturising benefits to nourish and smooth the fragile lip contour, while Raspberry and Shea butters help repair the skin.

Note : This product is made in France itself.

And because of Melvita is certified by ECOCERT therefore the percentage of organic ingredients in cosmetics displayed in each product for user information.

In this case, Melvita Naturalift Youthful Skin Complex - Eyes and Lips has
- 99.42% of the total ingredients from natural origin.
- 33.71% of the total ingredients from Organic Farming. (total ingredients include water but water is not listed as organic ingredient)

For a product to be labelled under ECOCERT natural and organic cosmetic label - A minimum of 95% of all plant-based ingredients in the formula and a minimum of 10% of all ingredients by weight must come from organic farming.

As some of you may know by now, Melvita is one of the first skincare brands in France to be certified by ECOCERT France, and fulfill the standards of COSMEBIO France (Professional Association for Ecological and Organic Cosmetics). And since their products are organic, it is free from paraffin or silicone,PEG orPPG,ethoylated, parabens or pheneoyethanol, formaldehyde or chlorine, Synthetic fragrance or colors and diethyl phtalate or nitromusk.

Sounds a mouthful but these are things we can choose not to have in our skincare to protect our health.

My review on Melvita Naturalift Youthful Skin Complex -Eyes and Lips

For eyes area : I don't have obivious wrinkles or fine lines around my eyes to start with (touch wood!). So after 2 months plus of trying, I think that the eye cream texture is lightweight and absorb nicely on my skin around my eyes. It works very well to give hydration for my eyes area. As for dark circles and puffiness, I could not comment whether it is working or not because I admit I sleep on irregular hours and hence I might not see any effect working on me. So far it does not cause me any milia seeds.

For lips contour area : I massage the cream on my lips and it absorb almost immediately, no stickyness or whatsoever even though it is made of shea butter. I do feel my lips are instantly smoother and hydrated after applying it. The next morning when I woke up, I feel my lips are supple and applying lipstick seems to be easier task. However I do not see any fine lines on my lips area has been reduced so far. And if there is anything bothering me it is the scent of the product which is stronger when I applied on my lips but the scent went off after a while.

Pros : Hydrates eyes & lips area very well, no stickyness, absorb almost instantly, feel lips is smoother and easy to apply lipstick, great value for money because it is 2 in 1 product and it is made in France, certified by Ecocert to be organic

Cons : Feel the scent is stronger when applied on lips area

Am now in Hakodate, Hokkaido Japan

Picture taken in Hakodate station this morning!

Hey people, if you are wondering why there is no updates from me... it is because I am now in Japan. Arrived here last Friday and will be here for the next 10 days..Today I just arrived in Hakodate,Hokkaido.

Hakodate Night View from Mount Hakodate

Just now I went to the Mount Hakodate to see the night view which is one of the top 3 night view in the world (the other being Hong Kong and Naples). The view is breathtaking and from the mountain summit, you can get a magnificent view of the Hakodate bay on the left, the Pacific Ocean no the right.

It was -2c just now... freezing cold when wind blew!

In the afternoon we have light snow and we are praying for some heavy snow (cos haven't seen one before). And when we are done with our dinner just now and as we walked back to the hotel sudenly it was snowing so heavily that I could not see my way back to hotel.... quite an experince indeed ! While I always complained it is flaming hot back home in Malaysia, it is freezing cold here!!!!

Will keep you guys updated !!

NOTD : My Valentine Peach Cocktail polish set from Japan

I bought this pretty nail polish set last year in a mall in Shinsaibashi, Osaka and totally forgotten about it until recently I found it inside my drawer! I always fancy Japanese nail design and I remembered there are so many pretty nail polish set and I just simply pick up this one because it was the cheapest among all :P It was 609 yen around Rm23 or less (when I bought that time because exchange rate was lower)

So I took out and try it for my first time!

This mini gradient nail polish manicure kit comes in 3 colours.

Each nail polish is labelled with A,B and C and I just followed the steps stated behind the nail polish packaging.

Can't read Japanese so I am just following my instict while looking at the picture tutorial

After 10 mins I'm done because the nail polish dried up pretty fast !!

Was so happy because my nails result is per the picture illustration in the box ! #happy

Can't stop admiring at my nails now!

I think I will to buy some polish when I am in Japan this coming Friday because it is so simple to use & the results are so pretty!

And my nails are perfect for Valentine's Day tomorrow !!!

Honestly I am missing Thailand so much. Look how beautiful is this beach is, this is Phi Phi Island in Phuket. One of the most beautiful beach I have ever been. Look at the crystal clear water. Ah...Want to go Phuket now (check out my Phuket's picture here)
