Review : Essenseri Skincare & Serum Mist

I was being introduced to our Malaysia home-grown brand Essenseri a while ago and my first impression ...

Aww their packaging is so colourful & cute!

According to them, they offer the simplest, easiest and fastest skin solution which will work every time. Each Serum Mist is specially formulated with active ingredients which derived from the nature and each offers different solution to our skin. Hence if you have acne problem, you are recommended to Acne Reduction Serum Mist.

I was given 4 products to try and let's see how I think about them.

 Essenseri Skin Renew Facial Cleanser : RM18

This is a facial cleanser that is free from synthetic fragrance and helps to deep cleanse the skin. It is specially formulated with NMF, Aloe Vera, Allantoin, Lactic Acid and essential oils. The benefits of using this is that it removes dead skin cell that which will caused our skin looking dull. It also helps to hydrate the skin which end of the day leaving our feel soft & fresh.

 The ingredients

This is a gel cleanser and does not come with a lot of foam. I quite like this because it does not make my face feeling dry after using it. I feel my face feeling smoother every time after I wash my face with this!

Come to the highlight of the review, Essenseri Mist Serum which comes in 3 types namely Acne Reduction Serum Mist, Age Defying Serum Mist and Extra Whitening Serum Mist and each priced at RM29 only! And this is my first time coming across serum that comes in a mist form and I'm looking forward to try to see how it works! 

The instruction was to use to shake well before used.

Overall my skin looked a bit brighter than before... besides using this I have better sleeping habit i.e I sleep earlier than I used to be (age catching up! Hahaha....). I like how it is so simple to use and light to carry around. And instead of spraying water mist , I would prefer to use this on top of my makeup... it does not smudge my makeup yet giving some treatment benefit on my face. Essenseri is definitely an affordable brand that offer fuss-free application with result. And this would be perfect for people who are lazy or reluctant to apply so many products on their face as each Serum Mist is formulated to target specific skin need.

Bella Awards "She Sparkles"

Bella Awards "She Sparkles" may be the 1st women's awards show in the country and it is expected to be the most significant award ceremonies ever held to celebrate, recognise and honour WOMEN from all walks of life.

The press conference was held in Sheraton Imperial last month and it was set up in a beautifully in purple and has very "bella" feeling! Bella Awards has the theme of She Sparkles because women are precious gems, they not only sparkle from the outside but inner as well with significant and outsanding contribution made to the society.

Initially ntv7 started off with 5 awards Bella Creative Award, Bella Style Award, Bella Beautiful Award, Bella Business Award and Bella Heart Award which is by nomination. And later on additional four NEW categories including Bella On-Screen Award, Bella On-Stage Award, Bella Sports Award and Bella Radio Award was introduced and it would be based on public voting.

Welcome speech by Ms. Airin Zainul, Group General Manager of ntv7 and ntv8. Mercedes Benz Stylo Model Search of the Year 2013 is now opened for registration!

This year Search helmed by Stylo International with show presenter, Mercedes-Benz and Saito College is an initiative undertaken in the lead-up to the 15th Malaysia F1 GP. It is also part of the Mercedes-Benz STYLO World Fashion Series presented by Mercedes-Benz launched 2011 in London.

“Opening up the talent pool to modelling is creating yet another additional platform and greater opportunities for the young,” said Mercedes-Benz president and chief executive officer Roland Folger. “Our aim is to put Kuala Lumpur on the world fashion map by promoting creativity among local talents and to be recognised for their global standards in fashion.

He added, “It will be an even more exciting year for Malaysia, thanks to our exciting partnership with STYLO to present Mercedes-Benz Stylo Fashion World Series. Together we will carry the name of Kuala Lumpur as a fashion city to the world through local talents participating at international shows in London, Mumbai, New York, Prague and other fashion capitals around the world”

This year, 2013, the Mercedes- Benz Stylo Model Search of the Year Competition will be conducted online. Finalists will be chosen based on height, looks, runway presence and overall impression.  

Requirement of the Mercedes Benz Stylo Model Search of the Year 2013

1) Open to both Male and Female contestants
2) Min age: 18 years old
3) Open to all nationality but must be residing in Malaysia for the last 2 years
4) Min height requirement: 172cm tall
5) Applicants are required to submit their photographs    
     i)  Close up of face with minimal makeup   
     ii) Full length profiles (preferably with one holding a standard 4.7in CD)
6) Entry closing date: 31st March, 2013      

 The 12 shorlisted finalist will undergo a month long intensive training with STYLO ACADEMY where a customised course on Personality Enhancement and Finishing School Curriculum will be taught to prepare them for the finals and to walk international runways. Public voting will count towards 20% of the final judging.

According to Stylo International founder and chief executive officer Dato’ Nancy Yeoh, “Our World Fashion Series has opened up international opportunities for young people who call Malaysia home.”

She further added, “We are a small country and need all the help we can get. If a Malaysian is unearthed here and makes it big internationally, she will say she was discovered in her home Malaysia, a place with great multi-cultural integration.” 

The finals will be staged during Mercedes Benz Stylo Fashion Grand Prix themed “Fashion Dolls” this year at a secret venue in the Klang Valley on the xx of March 2013. How exciting to find out the secret venue only at the night of the event!

Review : What I think of Vanity Trove February 2013 edition

I first came to know about Vanity Trove from my blogger friend Cynthia who subscribed them in Singapore some time ago. And finally it hit our Malaysian shore! Well I was pretty excited to see how this would flare..as this is not my first beauty box subscription I came across.

I received mine about 2 weeks ago, just about when I was going back hometown to celebrate CNY. Vanity Trove was sent by Kangaroo courier service , a not very popular courier company in Malaysia but fortunately their HQ is really near my house ... so it was alright for me to do a pickup when I was not at home to received the box. The box came in good condition and wrapped nicely in courier plastic wrapper.

It came in very good quality hard box. Unlike the usual open up box type, Vanity Trove's box is pull out drawer type. Definitely I am keeping the box to store my beauty stuffs :P

This is Vanity Trove February edition which comes with 8 sample products; a mix of hair, face and even body products!

A brand that need no introduction anymore especially Benefit has been promoting this actively this month and prior to this I have received this samples a few time. I do love this because it does make my pores looking smaller and skin looking smoother. I am waiting to purchase this when time comes (i.e when I finished my stash)

Oriks Wild Ginseng Stemcell (Callus) Twister Essence 5ml

I haven't tried any Oriks products. I read this is a brand from Korea and focus using natural products as ingredients. This Oriks Wild Ginseng Stemcell (Callus) Twister Essence helps to tighten enlarged pores and I would be definitely interested to try this soon!

I not really a big of bb cream usually korean brand bb would bring me gray cast on my face. Hmm I haven't try this before, would definitely interested to try this.

Wella System Professional Colour Save Shampoo & Conditioner 30ml each

I have received this sample a few times and I do like Wella SP colour save shampoo and definitely love having this especially when I have my hair coloured recently.. can bring for a short trip holiday!

B.liv off with those heads 3ml

Say goodbye to painful squeezing! This light cooling gel promises to remove stubborn blackheads and whiteheads painlessly in just 14 days of application and stop them from appearing ever again. It keeps excessive oil secretion under control and skin irritation will never rule again.

I came to know the brand b.liv in 2010 and I have tried few of their products before and quite like some of them. I have tried this b.liv off with those heads but could not really see much improvement because to start with I do not have a lot of blackheads. But my friends sweared by this products that it works wonder for them.

Di Palomo Tuscan Rose Hand & Body Lotion 25ml

Love to find this product is free from paraben and phthalate. Love the rosy scent! Will be chucking this into my handbag!

Overall I think this is the most expensive beauty box subscription price in Malaysia. Eventhough the main purpose of subscribing beauty box is to get samples to try out the products but I hope to see full size products in the future in the box considering the price. I am happy to come across Di Palomo Tuscan Rose Hand & Body Lotion and I am paying attention to this brand from now onwards. I would definitely hope to see different products in the coming box rather than receiving the same old products from other beauty box or magazines subscriptions..maybe an exclusive product sample for Vanity Trove subscibers?

 Happy Chinese New Year to all my readers & friends who celebrating this CNY! For the rest, have a good long break!
