Review : Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing UV Milk with SPF50 PA+++ is my new favourite!

Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing UV Milk with SPF50 PA+++ has been in the Malaysian market for about one month plus, and I have tried it for a while. And I think I quite like it and I will tell you why!

Just to let you guys know (if you don't know) that Hada Labo comes from Japan and is owned by Rohto Pharmaceutical and The Mentholatum Co Japan. Note that Hada Labo products is free of "harmful" ingredients such as paraben, fragrance, mineral oil, alcohol and colorant which means it would be suitable even for people with sensitive skin!

This Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing UV Milk with SPF50 PA+++ has a long name and as you may read from it's name it consists of the famous hydrating ingredients Hyaluronic Acid in this sunblock! Yay you hear that sunblock now also has hydrating ingredients inside them too!

The ingredients

Basically Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing UV Milk with SPF50 PA+++ has 3 in 1 benefits ; UV protection , hydration and makeup base !

p/s: But you still have to apply moisturizer before using this ya !

It comes in a plastic bottle and a dispenser where we can control how much to pour out.

And you gotta shake this well before using to make sure the liquid is mix properly.

Texture :Very Light and Watery
Colour : White liquid
Scent: None

My Review : The Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing UV Milk provide quite a high sunblock protection , i.e SPF 50 PA+++ and yet the texture of the sunblock is watery and light. This makes it easy to spread on my face and absorb almost immediately upon application and in fact I can't feel anything after application nor do I see any white cast on my skin after application. Apart from that, I love the fact it has this extra ingredients Super Hyaluronic Acid which will give me hydration, even though I do not feel any different to it as I always apply my moisturiser before applying sunblock. It does not clog my pores or give me any break out. This will be one my favorite sunblock and I can't find any reasons why not to get this when it has high SPF protection, feel comfortable on my skin skin, FREE from paraben, fragrance, mineral oil, alcohol and colorant and yet only selling less than RM50 for 38ml.

Pros : Texture light & watery, skin don't feel anything after application, work as uv protection & makeup base, free from paraben, fragrance, mineral oil, alcohol and colorant

Cons: None ( Do note that you must shake well before using or else you will feel its a bit oily when using it)

Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing UV Milk with SPF50 PA+++ is available at all leading pharmacies nationwide for RM49.90 for 38ml

My exclusive interview with Fish Leong, brand ambassador of Pure Beauty

Remember this Pure Beauty brand which i blogged about last month ? Well early this month I had an exclusive face-to-face interview with Fish Leong, the brand ambassador of Pure Beauty together with another 4 bloggers. Fish Leong was the Asia’s Queen of Ballads and has won the most honours in the music industry as a Malaysian singer. It was a golden opportunity for me ... I first listened to her to her songs 10 years and I learned how to sing it by memorizing it!

It was a private & exclusive event held at Sunway Resort & Spa Hotel on 1st October. It turned out to be a warm and relaxing chat session with her.

So me and other bloggers asked Fish Leong a couple of questions and this is what she said

Q: How long has you been using Pure Beauty Pomegranate Antioxidant Skincare Range?
Fish Leong : 2 months plus , which is since I was appointed as their ambassador.

Q: Why do you choose to be Pure Beauty Ambasaddor ?
Fish Leong : Because it is all made from natural ingredients and has the anti-oxidant range which is not very common in the market.

Q: What is your favourite Pure Beauty's product and why?
Fish Leong : I love Pomegranate Antioxidant Essence because it gives me a smooth feeling like doing a mask...it provides good hydration and my makeup stay on well the next morning.

Q:Do you do facial very often?
Fish Leong : No , because if you have good skincare regime, facial is not necessary. I massage by pressing the lymphatic nods and massage my face upwards for lifting purposes.

Q: How do you still look good despite late night of recording and etc?
Fish Leong : I have good skincare regime, drink lots of water, exercise regularly and take supplements such as Vit B and C. I take manuka honey to soothe my throat just before my concert.

Q: Any beauty tips for our readers ?
Fish Leong : Try not to take cold drinks it is not good for the body. Always try to drink home made tonic soup and take food which is high in omega 3 (such as cod fish and salmon fish). I sometimes make healthy breakfast for myself where I mix oat, banana, milk and maple syrup and all these is good for our body.

Q: Why do you name yourself Fish ?
Fish Leong : My Chinese name (Cantonese pronunciation) of my name is Ah yu and when I first started an ICQ account I think Fish is an easier name to remember. So I have been using this name FISH from then .

Fish Leong posting with Pure Beauty Pomegranate Antioxidant Skincare range. And we are very lucky to meet her as she will be in Malaysia for one day only for this event.

After the interview, Fish Leong proceeded to Sunway shopping mall concourse area to make public appearance.

Group photo together with Watsons Malaysia representative, Pure beauty representative and Fish Leong

This girl is so lucky, she won the Sing like Fish Leong's contest and get to sing alongside with Fish Leong! Must be one of the never forget moment she has there!

Other than that, every purchase entitle you to get a signature of her name !

Me and Fish Leong - like her smile and her being humble despite her fame.

Never thought of meeting and knowing Fish Leong through blogging! Love the fact that Fish Leong has a very warm smile and friendly. I could see that she has very good skin. I was sitting next to her during the interview session and I could see her skin is flawless and that she still looked gorgeous even though she applied light makeup only. And she told me she all this thanks to Pure Beauty! I also want to look like that when I am her age too, so definitely will be trying out Pure Beauty products!

Review : Clarins HydraQuench Intensive Serum Bi-Phase

Clarins HydraQuench Intensive Serum Bi-Phase

This new range serum also have the same ingredients like the HydraQuench Cream-Melt and according to description it restores vitality and youthfulness to the most dehydrated skin. An effective booster . A unique, bi-phase texture, unrivalled for its lightness, comfort and excellent skin tolerance. It promises to improve hydration action at 4 levels i.e: -

Dermal level : replenish the skin’s main water reservoir

Epidermal level : reactivates the production of natural moisturization factors (NMF) and protects epidermal cell hydration.

Corneal layer level : restores the hyrolipidic film and intercellular cement to limit water loss and reinforce skin’s defences

Skin surface : forms a non-occlusive film that reinforces skin protection against the excessive loss of water

And I was given a 15ml serum to try, which is equivalent to a half bottle of the full size serum. And I found that in this new formula serum the scent is much more lighter compare to their previous serum and HydraQuench Cream-Melt which is too strong for me.

Packaging : Comes in a pump dispenser bottle comes in frosted blue colour and has a gold cap to replaced the old white cap.

Scent : Very light Floral- Fruity

Texture : Consist of 1/5 oil phase (floating on top) with the 4/5 of water phase (on lower part) and the serum is named bi-phase for this reason. Need to shake well for the two phases to combine before using it. It will looked like clear liquid water.

Price : RM200/30ml

My review : Remember to shake well the serum before applying it! Although I feel my skin is a little bit oily when I first apply it however within minutes it quickly absorb into my skin and I barely can feel it anymore after that. I can feel my skin is immediately soft and smooth. And I would think this new serum formula works better on me compare to the old ones as it absorb faster and the effect stay longer on my skin. And I think people with combination skin would be able to use for this reason too. Overall, the serum has a good improvement from the previous formula as the serum does not give the "floating effect" anymore and now I feel everything is being absorb into my skin.

Pros : Absorb quickly into the skin, lighter scent

Cons : None

Clarins HydraQuench range will be available at all Clarins Skin Spa and counters starting from 1st September 2011 onwards and will be priced at

HydraQuench Intensive Serum Bi-Phase - RM 200
HydraQuench Cream-Gel (50m) - RM 180
HydraQuench Cream-Melt (50ml) - RM 180

StyleKandi’s Grand Launch in Aural, KL City Walk

Few weeks ago one of my favourite fashion website StyleKandi (www.stylekandi.com) Malaysia’s leading social network for style and all things trendy was regarded as one of the pioneering Asian online fashion platforms had their grand launch hosted by Antics Media.

It was held at Aural, KL City Walk to celebrate its milestone where guests were treated with unique Kandi Cocktails, celebrity charity fashion show featuring limited edition Pestle & Mortar tees and performance from local indie- rock band Kyoto Protocal and young Malaysian improv troupe, Artificially Intelligent Improvholics Anonymous (AIIA)

Mark Will, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Antics Media gave his welcoming speech at StyleKandi’s Grand Launch where he revealed to the guests that they are currently in talks with several high street brands to create brand and fashion-line campaigns within the platform, which will allow the brands to engage and interact directly with the StyleKandi community. Awesome!

Besides that StyleKandi has also introduced a hash tag system at the event, which allows easy and convenient posting directly from a user’s Twitter account, so that users are able to post pictures, which they have snapped on the go, by just adding #skpost to their pictorial tweets. StyleKandi has also now been translated, into Malay and will be translated into Mandarin very soon... how cool is that !

Kyoto Protocol rocks the house!
