Travel photos of my recent Myanmar backpacking trip!

Hey all! Anyone miss me here? 

Well I just came back from my Mystical Myanmar backpacking trip a while ago. Been so busy trying to catch up with my work and sleep!

I was there for 5 days 4 night and it was a very tiring trip but fulfilling one because we managed to traveled 1500km to 4 different regions i.e Yangon, Bagan, Mandalay and Inle Lake. And 3 out of 4 nights we spent sleeping in the bus to travel from one place to another. We spent about RM880 which includes my Airasia flights, transportation fee, 1 night accommodation fee, food, entrance fee and a little bit of souvenirs! 

I have so much to share with you all about this trip because I realized there are not much info on the internet that you can find. So before I can do that, let me take a nice break and do sit back and enjoy a few pictures which I took using my new camera Olympus E-PL7 (oh my this is such an amazing camera!)

Initially we have a a few more friends who supposed to come along, but all pulled out last minutes. Anyway I had fun travelling with my bff Lam.. he is so chatty and crazy!

Not only that we also managed to meet new friends during out trip! On the first day, we managed to know this very fun couple Cheryl and Juno from Penang during our trip and we decided to travel together! Ahh.. that's the beauty of backpacking.. to meet different people!

Took a picture for Cheryl and Juno, the couple who are we travelling together! They are getting married end of the year ... so took this as their pre-wedding pic for them ...Love is in the air!

Lots of huge & beautiful Buddha statutes in Myanmar, especially Bagan!

Beautifying my skin the local way! Met this super friendly lady and she insisted me to try this yellow liquid  extract taken from Thanaka tree. This extract is very interesting because most Myanmar girl applied this on their face. I was told this has the benefits of sun protection, cure acne and promote smooth skin. It is also an anti-fungal cream too!

We also went to  Kuthodaw Pagoda in Mandalay is the world's largest book stands upright! The book is actually the each small shrine behind me house a marble slab inscribed with texts! And there are 729 of them!

Laughter the best medicine - Come laugh together at Harith Iskander…To know Malaysia is to LAUGH MALAYSIA show!

Yes, Laughter is the best medicine!

People who believe in the benefits of laughter say it can be like a mild workout and it may offer some of the same advantages as a workout. And apparently laughter appears to burn calories, too! 

So if want to have thinner face, laugh more lah ! But hor I been laughing all my life, but it doesn't work lohhhhh! 

Do you know this guy? He is no other than Harith Iskander who is the funniest man in Malaysia who would you make you laugh like nobody business!

The show aptly given the title “Harith Iskander…To know Malaysia is to LAUGH MALAYSIA!”, promises to be the biggest night of stand-up comedy in Malaysia and will also feature new talents in the Malaysian comedy scene as well as other seasoned international comedians.

Dr Jason Leong who is a doctor turns comedian would be guest speaker for that night! Have seen him performed before a few years ago and now is a Certified Laughing Doctor because .... he is going to prescribed us with laughter as medicine! Besides him, we going to have special guest Papa CJ – one of India’s most influential comedians to be on the show!

As a lead up to this concert Harith is presently on his first International Tour covering six countries – Singapore, Indonesia, India, Australia, Hong Kong and South Korea – aptly titled “The Godfather of Malaysian Comedy International Tour 2014”. In each of these countries Harith has successfully and proudly flown the Malaysian flag in front of a truly international audience. He is now ready to bring that back home in front of his own people.

I was really excited to find out during the press conference that there would be new materials presented on the stage as well as some classic “best of” and with a mixture of interactive visuals and live music. Harith with more than 22 years of experience to his name, also aims to bring a new and exciting edge to his performance. The topics will be a mixture of daily observations about what makes Malaysia ‘tick’ told in the indomitable and distinctive Harith Iskander's style. Yay let's us support our own local talents! 

In the past I have attended a few Harith Iskander's show and seriously I love his shows because he made me laugh real hard! And occasionally when I was having a bad day, I just went to Youtube to watch his show to cheer myself up! What set him apart from other comedians is that his joke is really localized for the audience where as a Malaysia we can connect to it!

Apart from that, I was glad to find out that there are big hearted Malaysian corporations that have stepped up to support this event under the LAUGH MALAYSIA Umbrella namely Celcom First, Sime Darby Foundation, Seremban 2, MTT Priority and Pemandu. To make the show even more meaningful, percentage of profits from ticket sales will be channeled to OrphanCARE, a charitable NGO that strives to place abandoned children in homes with loving families.

Now I'm really looking forward to attend “Harith Iskander…To know Malaysia is to LAUGH MALAYSIA!” show to listen to his new material!!!
