My CNY shopping haul in Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall and see how I Shop like a PRO!

Have you done with your Chinese New Year's shopping?  Oh well I will never have enough of shopping hence I can't tell you that I'm done....haha..get it ?

When Sunway Pyramid's PR contacted me to go for all-expense paid shopping spree, immediately I said YES! As a shopping queen, I never say no to shopping one lah! Well I don't think women will ever got enough of shopping!

I was given RM888 to shop on the condition that I need to spend it within 2 hours (to be exact 1 hour and 30 minutes minus the briefing and toilet break) to go around the mall and spend all the make up my perfect Chinese New Year look.

Since the time given is short, I need to SHOP LIKE A PRO to spend the money wisely to get the best deals in town! Ahaha hope my sharing will be helpful for you when you shop for your CNY clothing!

First pitshop : Dorothy Perkins located in LG.131 (Orange Zone) to get new clothes!

Being a plus size girl in Malaysia, it's not easy to get pretty dress that fit you nicely. Well Dorothy's Perkins is my favourite UK highstreet fashion brand, their quality are good and the cutting fits me well! Do you know they offer size from 6-22 so it fits the smallest frame girl to the largest frame girl all under 1 roof!

I came here because of this Fashion Fortune promotion which I received in my email few weeks ago! Oh yehhhh I'm a  super good deal because I only need to spend RM250 in order to get RM200 voucher which can be redeemed for purchases for than RM400!

Some of the clothes I have tried!

My damage : Spend RM487.60 in total and got 2 dress and 3 tops worth RM687.60!

Didn't realise I spend too much times (about 40 minutes) trying dresses and taking selfie pictures, alamak not enough time already!
Time left : 50 minutes

Second Pitshop : Charles & Keith G1.58 (Orange Zone) to get new handbag!

I spend about 20 minutes trying out different bag from their latest S/S 2015 collection!

Which is your favourite one?

They have pretty decent of footwear too! This is super comfortable and cool looking but then I don't think it suits the dress that I bought for CNY... so I gave it a miss!

Total Damage : Spend RM279.90 for a new handbag!

Charles & Keith current promotion is buy RM300 and entitle to get RM50 voucher for free!

Time left : 30 minutes

Third Pitshop : Nose LG1.08 (Orange Zone) to get new shoes!

I have really small feet and I know Nose carries my size and with time running out I quickly walked in to grab a shoes! Ah got sale up to 70% discount!

To be honest, their design has improved compared to few years back! I think I should visit more!

I really wanted to get this (RM109.90) but this is not my size! So comfortable and chic looking, easy to match with any dress or jeans!

So I picked up nude wedges instead, it would be easy to match with my flowery dress I think :)

Total Damage : Spend RM109.90 on a pair of nude wedges

Time left : 10 minutes

Fourth Pitshop : Sephora G1.132 (Orange Zone)

This is beauty heaven for all beauty lovers lah! And since I got 10% off voucher to spend, I want to get a foundation which I have been waiting to try!

Within 10 minutes I picked up this beauty stuffs!

Make Up For Ever HD Foudation : RM165.50
Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner in Black : RM63
Sephora Cotton Pad (70s pcs) : RM9.90

Total Damage : RM239.40 afer 10% discount with my Sephora card

After 1.5 hours, I spend RM1116.80 and yes it's a little over the budget that was given (cos happy mood mahhh) and then there are so much to see & buy in Sunway Pyramid, definitely there is something for everyone!

And I want to maximise my spending mahh... so I went to sign up Sunway Pals card for FREE where I get to enjoy the privileges & redeem the points across over 300 merchant outlets in Sunway Pyramid when I shop & dine in Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall.

It also a cashless parking card that enable Sunway Pals card member to park at selected parking locations without the use of a parking ticket and the need to queue at the auto pay machines. More info here

In the spirit of spreading wealth and prosperity, Sunway Pyramid shoppers who spend RM250 (RM150 for HSBC Credit Cardholders) in 1 receipt* can redeem a set of limited edition All Season Prosperity Ang Pow, adorned with delicate and delightful spring flowers.

Cuteness overload!! So nice to hug hug!

And for those who spend RM1000 (RM800 for HSBC Credit Cardholders) in 3 receipts, you can redeem this super cute exclusive Fluffs of Joy Sheep Pillow Pet!

Ah I thought only 5 stars hotel offer Porter Boy Service to carry luggage but Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall  goes extra miles in  understanding shopper's need that ... it would be nice if there is someone who are there to help to carry and escort us to the car park after a long day doing shopping!

Sunway Pyramid Shopping Centre Porter Boy Service is available on Fri, Sat, Sun & Public Holiday between 11am to 11pm.  Just give them a call at 011-2888 7736 and the Porter Boy will be there to help us to carry our bags to our car! Thumb up for this service, so far I think they are the only mall in Malaysia offering this service!

I truly felt like SHOPPING QUEEN when my Porter Boy carry my bag to the car!

Besides that, you can hop on for a free ride on the Buggy (call 010-2897 509), available daily at selected car park entrances.

I like how Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall put effort in making sure parents can shop at ease here, you know how often you go to the malls and you heard over the announcement some kids are lost and seperated from their parents in mall.

Child Distance Monitor & Safety Wristband is one of the unique kind that all malls should have!  I think would be really helpful for parents and guardians aware of their children’s whereabouts in the shopping mall.

Free Child Safe Shopping wristband can be collected from any of Sunway Pyramid’s Concierge Counters on Ground Floor and Lower Ground One where parents can write their contact numbers on the back and the child can wear the wristband, just in case they get separated during their shopping in the mall, the public or the guard can contact the parents.

The Beeper (Child Distance Monitor) is used to make sure that the children do not wander too far off from their parents. A ‘sender’ will be attached to the child, and the parents or guardians will get the ‘receiver’. If the child strayed within a certain distance, the ‘receiver’ will produce beeping sounds and vibrate to alert the ‘receiver’. Sunway Pyramid Shopping Mall shoppers can get this Child Distance Monitor at any of the Concierge Counters located on Ground Floor and Lower Ground One. Sounds really awesome right ?

And with those personal touch kind of shopping experience provided, I was actually recommend you to bring you and your family over to Sunway Pyramid this weekends to do your last minute CNY shopping!

You will see the mall is dotted with adorable fluffy sheep in conjunction with their theme for this year ‘Cheery Woolly Spring’.

Remember to take pictures with this families of colourful sheep roaming on endless green pastures with cheerful cherry blossoms and bright yarn baubles glow from above. In line with the woolly theme, strings of multi-coloured yarn are intricately woven through fences and huts, creating texture, abundance and warmth.

You also can unleash your inner artist with free Chinese calligraphy and sand art workshops happening on selected weekends at 2pm. Better yet, bring your little ones along to enjoy exclusive Leo Cub workshops on selected weekends.

Breathe in the joy of spring amidst the beautiful flower blossoms for a flourishing new year at the Spring Flower Market at the LG2 Blue Concourse or indulge in a variety of delectable Chinese delicacies at the Chinese New Year Bazaar, happening at the LG2 Orange Concourse.

Don't forget to meet and greet Sunway Pyramid’s playful mascots Leo and Leona as they make their rounds distributing prosperity goodies at 1pm, 3pm and 5pm on weekends and holidays.

Ah before I forget, let me shared with you some pictures I have taken on how I plan my Chinese New Year's outfit for this year!

And yes my target to get new clothes from head to toe to wear this CNY was accomplished! And in case you didn't know it's Chinese belief that it's important to wear new clothes on Chinese New Year from head to toe to symbolize a new beginning in the new year. And wearing new clothes also symbolizes having more than enough things to use and wear in the new year!

Just realised the clothes I got from Dorothy Perkins are so flowery right! Oh ya that's this year Spring 2015 trend.

p/s: The red ones are from H&M and top left from Brands Outlet which I purchased it recently.

The Sky, One City Mall - the biggest rooftop dining experience in Malaysia

I started seeing this kinda of pictures in July last year where a lot of my friends was posting their feet on transparent glass floor... looks kinda cool & scary at the same time! Later I found out this place is The Sky at One City Mall, in USJ

Oh well I finally managed to check it out recently and took a picture of my own (#followtrendlah) :P

NOTE : Please do not wear skirts or dress when you want to come to this The Sky at One City to take picture cos it's transparent glass and you are "free viewing"to the shopper below..

The Sky at One City is established on the 10th floor (rooftop) of the 16-level mall, inevitably an urban dining oasis in the Subang vicinity. This is the biggest rooftop food and beverage area in Malaysia, offering international cuisine that includes Thai, Korean and western delights, not forgetting a sports bar with darts game, pool table facilities and a chill-out lounge with live band, a new remarkable place for dining, chill-out, events, music and gathering.

What I really like about this place is each restaurant has their own outdoor sky dining area and that totally fits the name of the place!

The Sky at One City had their official opening last week.

At a star studded gala night, more than 1000 guests were treated to a spectacular showcase by a great line-up of artists that included Henley Hii, Baki Zainal, Dina Nadzir, Shawn Lee and international illusionist, Zlwin Chew.

Besides the night’s performances, guests were also entertained by various games and activities at the grand opening. All invited guests for the happening night were able to win prizes totaling RM16, 000 from the lucky draw, as well as use Facebook posts to ‘buy’ themselves some exclusive merchandise from The Sky’s “Facebook Shop”, in an innovative new social media concept. In high spirits, guests continued to party at The Sky till the wee hours of the morning.

The highlight of the night was food tasting from The Sky’s six restaurants. And here I will introduced each restaurants in The Sky at One City and their signature dishes.

Master Room serves unique fusion dishes. It's a family-oriented restaurant and sports bar wants to cater to all walks of life.
Petite Nasi Lemak (RM9) is a mini version of the local favourite, creatively served in baskets of pai tee. Each serving of the bite-sized morsels comes complete with anchovies, peanuts, sambal, egg and cucumber, while the pai tee’s crunchy texture is similar to keropok.

Reminds me of the proverb kecil kecil cili padi which means although it's small but really spicy!

So cute that I decided to take selfie it!

Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream

It was so delicious that I finished every single bite. *enough said*

Master Room Restaurant
Operation hours: Mon-Sun, 11 am-11 pm
Contact number: 019-213 0189

de House Restaurant offers a wide selection of western food & cakes

Mediterranean Caesar Salad with Quail Eggs

I would think this is a very unique combination of Caesar salad & quail eggs. Unfortunately I'm not a fan of quail eggs.

Spaghetti Aglio e Olio Vongoli (Clam) - very generous portion of clams!

de House Restaurant
Operation hours: Mon-Sun, 11 am-11 pm
Contact number : 03-5115 0119

Khrua Thai Restaurant offers authentic northern Thai cuisine from Chiang Rai. The word "Khrua" means kitchen in Thai symbolising Chef Waraphorn's traditional home cooked recipes

The tomyam is not only aromatic and savoury but also spicy... hence not for someone who has faint heart!

Prawn and Fish Cake Combo. It was homemade and the ingredients that they used are really fresh. I can taste the sweetness of fish & prawn and the chilly dip sauce complement this very well.

Khrua Thai Restaurant
Operation hours: Mon-Sun, 11 am-11 pm
Contact number : 013-289 0139

Inaho Sushi offers casual dine Japanese cuisine. They also have another branch in The Curve, Mutiara Damansara. I really like how they decorate the restaurant with bamboo and it gives zen feeling!

Momiji Sashimi - those who enjoy raw food would definitely love this!

Yakitori Moriawase - grilled marinated chicken, tomatoes and lady fingers!

Inaho Sushi Restaurant
Operation hours: Mon-Sun, 11 am-11 pm

Hongdae-Mun Restaurant offers authentic Korean food. The name Hongdae originated from a place in South Korea and in fact I been there cos that area are famous of clubs, cafes and fashion.

Korean Fried Chicken - this is too sweet for my taste bud, I still prefer KFC :P

 Charcoal Barbecue Lamb

The Voice Restaurant is a restaurant that offers fusion food & chill-out lounge with live band.

Wild Mint Temptation - a very refreshing drink that will be perfect to cool us down on a warn day

The Voice Restaurant
Operation hours: Mon-Sun, 11 am-11 pm
Contact number : 019-336 0179

Are you afraid of height... I'm but die die want to take picture lah..

This is a memorable evening at The Sky, One City Mall as I managed to visit & taste some of the food from the 6 restaurants. I am planning to go back for Khrua Thai Restaurant for Thai dinner and then going to chill out at The Voice to enjoy the music performance & panoramic view of the night skyline.

The Sky at One City is located at 10th floor (rooftop).
