Well I DO! Hence I was pretty excited when I was received invitation to the Malaysia's first beauty box subscription launch a while ago! We have been waiting forever and we have heard enough of Bellabox from our neighbouring blogger friends in Singapore.

This sweet & friendly lady Hui Ling who is the Founder / CEO of Fabulous Finds Beauty Box shared that she has been a big fan of beauty products and she said she has products that can probably can last her 3 lifetime!

So with her passion on beauty products, she quit her job at the bank and started Fabulous Finds hoping to bring the best and latest beauty products to their subscribers!

Not only Hui Ling is passionate about Beauty, she is passionate about Community! More specifically, she is passionate about women's causes and believe in helping other women who are in less fortunate circumstances. Each Fabulous Finds beauty box will be lovingly packed by women from disadvantage backgrounds (single mothers, widowers, etc) and these income they get from packing goes towards supplementing their income to meet financial needs! Being a big supporter for enchancing women's welfare, I'm all for this! Beaubelle , a brand that is pretty new to me! I was told it's a local brand but products are made in Switzerland..something I looked forward to know what are they all about!

Their essential oil is something I really really like and will definitely check it out, the scent is so soothing and I feel good! And later I found out this is essential oil will boost my mood, no wonder that day I feel so happy like that!

My thoughts: Out of all the products, I guess everyone love seeing Crabtree & Evelyn travel size handcream like I do! And yes I have the chance to try out Beaubella products and Benefit POREfessional! As much I like the Lunasol Skin Fusing Powder Foundation (which I actually hit the pan back in January), the sample shade that was given was not my shade :( Unfortunately I am not a big fan of sachet sampling fans mainly because I don't think with a sachet can give me enough oomph to buy the product.

Overall I think this Fabulous Finds beauty is good for people who do not have an easy access to beauty counters (especially those not living in KL) and people who loves suprises! As much as I love beauty suprises at my doorstep every month for a reasonable amount, now I am pledged to finish off my current beauty stash hence I do not think I will be subscribing this yet! But at least I know there is a Malaysian beauty box if I would want to subscribe it any time!

And my readers/friends in facebook who saw this beauty box earlier has a little suggestion for Fabulous Finds, we love to see cosmetics products to be included in the future and to have more deluxe samples rather than sachet samples for the same reasons I mentioned above.

Review of L'oreal Professional Mythic Oil Milk: I started trying out this and the first thing I noticed is the lovely scent once I sprayed on my hair... it's so nice and that makes me keep spraying ! It feels extremely light on my hair like as if nothing has been applied. As much as I like the scent, I don't think it works well to de-tangle my hair after I towel dried my hair or de-frizz it after I blow dry. However the spray dispenser is quite useful and easy to use especially right after I blow dry my permed hair, for keeping my permed hair shape in place while providing a little bit moisture kick on it as a final touch up. And if you have fine & quite healthy hair, you might want to try this to maintain your hair condition! I still prefer the Rich Oil formula (click here to read review) which nourish my dry & damaged hair.

Selangorlicious Food Blogging Competition 2012

Tourism Selangor is back with Selangorlicious Food Blogging Competition 2012. After proving to be hugely successful with bloggers last year, the competition returns now bigger and better.

She said that Selangorlicious Food Blogging Competition is part of the Selangorlicious campaign to promote food tourism to domestic and foreign visitors. The competition is also a fun platform to highlight the state’s great food haunts that many people may not be aware of!

And this year the Selangorlicious Food Blogging contest is not only open to bloggers but to non-bloggers too! The contest begins on 15th June to 15th July 2012, where participants put in blog entries on their enjoyable food experiences in and around Selangor. For the first time the competition will allow participants to blog in their chosen medium, English, Bahasa Malaysia or Mandarin. The blogs will be judged on the creativity and are required to maintain proper use of the chosen language. The winning entries complete with photos stand to win attractive cash prizes. Good prizes are also offered for weekly winners.

YB Elizabeth added that the Selangorlicious campaign, especially the competition harnesses the power of the internet and social media, after seeing the success of a few of its past campaigns such as the popular My Selangor Story Blogging Competition and the first Selangorlicious Food Blogging Competition. She said that "We have embraced the IT culture and we are seeing the rewards in the number of followers that has been steadily increasing on Facebook and Twitter.”

The entries in Selangorlicious Food Blogging Competition will be compiled into the Selangorlicious portal, which will also be used as a source of reference for local and foreign tourists who come to Selangor.

In addition to the competition, the Selangorlicious campaign is augmented by a fun monthly outing called Selangorlicious EatOut, where participants will be taken to different districts each time. Supporting publications for the benefit of tourists will be published such Selangorlicious Good Food Guide and the Ramadhan Promotion Guide.

Review: L'oreal Professional Mythic Oil in Rich Oil formula - Finally get to say Bye Bye to my bad hair days!

How often you wake up and realised that you have a bad hair day ?

I have that almost everyday, all thanks to my constant effort of beautifying my hair by perming, colouring, highlighting and even bleaching! I learnt my lesson hard and now I am more careful and dilligent in taking care of my hair! As much as I like how my hair is permed and coloured I am now more concered about what hair products I used and are suitable for my hair conditions.

Back in February I was given L'oreal Professional Mythic Oil (for all hair types) to try and I was skeptical to use it at first because hair oil like Liese and other few brands never seems to work on me, and it usually gives you this greasy & heavy feeling after you apply it and not really helping the hair that much. But once I tried this Mythic Oil, I was or I am in love with it and there is no turning back because despite it being an oil it felt so light on my hair and it makes my hair feel so smooth and manage to keep my frizzy hair at bay! And now I know why 3 Mythic Oil products sold every minute worldwide!

So I was quite excited to try out another 3 different formulas of Mythic Oil when I was given for review and they are are L'oreal Professional Mythic Oil in Milk, Rich Oil and Colour Glow Oil and each of these targets different hair types and concerns.

My current hair condition : Dry, frizzy, lacks of shine, unruly and tangling hair

And looking at my hair concern I decided to try L'oreal Professional Mythic Oil- Rich Oil first which comes in transparent plastic bottle. Anyway I read that L'oreal Professional introduced new Mythic blow-dry services, inspired by ancient beauty traditions, passed through time and filled with Oriental indulgence. If you have used any other hair oil before, you will realised that we can only used it after you have blow dry your hair and not before that! But Mythic Oil can be used before or after we blow dry our hair and it is for different results!

L'oreal Professional Mythic Oil- Rich Oil has the richest nourishment formula among all, it has consists of taming and anti-frizz effect.

The two key ingredients that are being used here are:-

Rice Bran Oil : intensely moisturises and replenishes unruly hair for restored sleekness

Argan Oil: Rich in Vitamin E and essetial fatty acids, Argan Oil deeply nourishes rebellious hair.

Looking for the lists of ingredients, they are not only FREE from paraben, silicone and mineral oil ! And it is made in Spain.

Comes in pump dispenser, only one pump is needed!

Scent : Very pleasant scent

Usage Tips to see different results:-

Pre-Blow Hair Dry Constructor : Essential preparation for Mythic Oil Blow-dry and Oriental Odyssey services. Apply one pump after you towel hair dry your hair and before you blow dry your hair.

Finishing Touch & Sparker : Increases shine, suppleness and softness with long-lasting anti-frizz protection. Apply another one pump after your blow dry your hair or style them, apply at the tip of your hairs with your fingers for final touch.

Review of L'oreal Professional Mythic Oil- Rich Oil : I only pumped out 1 pump and warmed my hands before using it. I combed through my hair with the oil on my hand and not touching the scalp area. After that I felt that my hair absorb the Mythic Oil -Rich Oil like within a minute. I then continued blow dry my hair and when I am finished I applied another pump of it to my hair tip with my fingers just for final touch. Once again it absorb pretty fast and leaving my hair tips not feeling oily. I combed it through and it is smooth and actually help to detangle my hair. I really like how it fees light and does not weight down my hair while keeping my frizzy hair at bay. I have discovered that I did not have any splits ends at all since I started using them even though I just recently korean permed my hair two months ago. And I think my hair looked more shiny and manageable. And compared with the L'oreal Professional Mythic Oil original formula for all hair types, this Rich Oil formula is thicker and richer and gives better moisture to my hair and more suitable for my current hair condition!

I like it when I applied this the night before after I showered, my next day morning hair was soft and so easy to comb through!

I like how I can comb through my hair with my fingers!

No more bad hair day anymore! YAY!

Let's Chat with WeChat - New way to connect !

I was invited to this Avast! and WeChat Launch Event last week. So I was like WeChat ? What is that.. ??

WeChat was held in the Zouk where more than 200 bloggers, local celebrities, media members and partners at KL are briefed what is WeChat all about.Besides that Avast! version 7 antivirus was launched as well. Avast! official distributor APAC Ventures Sdn Bjd also announced its collobration with TenCent, the China's largest internet service provider company in the launch of its social app WeChat in Malaysia.

So I found out WeChat is a new way to connect , via mobile communication tool. It's like Whatsapp or Line but not exactly like it because it has more fun features such as Moments, Look Around , Shake and Drift Bottle. Sounds so Cheeky right ??

Moments is where you can share your thought and pictures with your close friends at WeChat at the moment you spotted something interesting!

Look Around is a function where you can look around and find a new friends to chat!

Shake is a very fun application where each time you shake your phone you can exchange your contact info with someone who is shaking near you and add them as your friend!

Drift Bottle is where you like the olden days you can pick up random drift bottle and read the message but here they have the function to reply back and make new friends!

Besides that WeChat has function where photos can be taken and embellished with artistic filters, captioned and put into a personal photo journal, and share with your friends almost immediately!

WeChat supports sending voice, video, photo and text messages besides that one can also start group chatting and find people nearby according to location data. It works on iOS, Android and Symbian devices at this moment. WeChat is integrated with Facebook Connect so you can invited your facebook friends directly into WeChat application without much hassle! User data is protected via on-demand contact list backup and retrieval to/from a cloud-based service. With the above features, WeChat provides a complete, robust, and secure social networking platform that emphasizes user privacy and fast response performance.

WeChat (or Weixin in Chinese) is developed by Tencent who are also also the people behind famous QQ chat in China too! Currently I was told WeChat has hit 100 million users as for March 2012 but only a very small percentage of them make up for the English speaking users as most of them are from China..And the company hopes that by launching it in Malaysia, the percentage of English speaking users will increase!

At the event too, Avast! has launched their version 7 antivirus! And it supposed to be Lighter and Faster!

p/s: I have just installed Avast! in my laptop using the installer given from the event, so far so good!
