AUPRES by Shiseido is now available in Malaysia! Featuring AUPRES skincare and makeup together with pricelist!

A while ago I was invited to the launch of AUPRES which is a  new skincare & makeup brand under Shiseido Company. 

AUPRES is not exactly new because it has successfully established itself as one of the top cosmetic brand in China after being launched in 1994 and the brand’s main skincare line was officially revamped in 2008 and Sun Li, China’s small-screen darling was appointed as the ambassafor. After 18 successful years, with more than 900 counters in China, Malaysia is the 2nd country in the world that has AUPRES. Also I was kinda suprise when I was told that AUPRES is not available in Japan even though it's a brand under Shiseido Japan, I wonder why... many in Japan too many brands under Shiseido already!

AUPRES, which means “next to you, close to you” in French upholds its basic philosophy of “High Quality”, “High Service” and “High Image” is an exclusive skincare and makeup brand launched in 1994. This caught my attention as I think this is my first time to come across a Japanese beauty brand to come out with sleeping mask and I manage to try with a sample I got from the counter. It is a jelly-emulsion type with little beads that melts as I massage onto the skin. It has the light floral scent that relax my senses. It kinda like how it feel on my skin, absorb nicely and not sticky.

I was kinda please to know that AUPRES Sun Care was then appointed as the official cosmetics product for China’s team of athletes for the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games and subsequently in the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece. I did try the sunblock at event and I kinda like some of their texture however was wondering why their the highest SPF is only 30? I would be more comfortable to use sunblock with SPF50 PA+++ on my face.

Phewww took so long to write out this post and type in all this price list, hope you all will find the pricelist useful since AUPRES has just been opened early this month!

AUPRES would be available exclusively in Parkson. Currently AUPRES has counter in Parkson Pavilion & Parkson Sg Wang and I think more AUPRES counters would be opened in stages.

Spotted in AUPRES Parkson Pavilion counter that with purchase of AUPRES Aqua Active Sleeping Mask (RM 95) , one can get the skincare trial set for free and together with a small jar of sleeping mask sample!

I am a big fan of Shiseido skincare but they are a little bit pricey to maintain and I am kinda excited to know AUPRES which are specially formulated by Shiseido Laboratories, Japan which is created exclusively for Asians is now available in Malaysia and price are bit more affordable!

From the event launch, I got to bring home AUPRES Ultimate White Range to try! Review will be up soon after I am done trying them!

Max Factor Smoky Eye Effect in Indigo Mist

Claims

"A foolproof new tool that shades, blends and defines your eyes for this season’s sultriest, sexiest looks. Inspired by our international team of make-up artists its double-ended application system has 2 distinctive tips designed to make smoky eyes easier than ever."

How to use

The product has two ends which are labeled step 1 & step 2. Basically apply the end that says step 1 (which is blunt) on the entire eyelid. Then apply the eye labeled step 2 (which is slightly pointier) along the crease and on the lower lash line. You can then use your fingers to pat & smudge so it blends seamlessly.

Pro:

• Double ended = more colours to play with
• Easy to carry pen like applicator
• Nice colour pay off
• Creamy texture
• Blends well

 

I wouldn't exactly say using this cream shadow sticks are easy to apply maybe because I feel the colours that I got doesn't seem to compliment best with each other. I personally love the blue-ish green colour because it shows up the best and beautiful on my lids but I wish it was in pointed shape for easier application. I find that the maroon purple side doesn't shows up as well as the other side did but the pointed shape was a great help. Because this is a cream shadow, it creases so do apply a base and some similar colour powder on top to set them. In my opinion, I don't think that it should be used alone, you will still need to work it out with a black powder for deepening and white powder shadow for the inner corners and to highlight your brow bone. Blending them with your fingers in a patting motion for a better effect. It cost about RM44 in retail. Check out the video on how I use it.

Joseph Sabeh Afaki, Managing Director of the Eatertainment Group said during the media launch that Circus will bring a world-class dining experience to KL and we are confident we have all the right elements to attract the city’s hip crowd. This place is huge and can fit 108 pax in the inside and if add in the outside area it can fit 136 pax once it is ready!

 Oh all things, do look up when you are at Circus! They have this super cool 2 huge LED tv on the ceiling, ya you hear me right, on the ceiling!

Circus not only have very cool interiors design but also has a very cool looking DJ in the house!

Circus has extensive wine list to complement your meal or be tempted by a tantalizing array of over 60 cocktails, ranging from staple classics to the avant garde, to be paired with a cigar of your choice from the divan.
