Review : Bag of Love "Debut Bag" March Edition

I bet you have heard so much about beauty box subscriptions by now! 

 So what is NEW now in the season is Beauty Bag subscription! 

Bag of Love is the new kid on the block, gives 5 deluxe sample size beauty products in a bag (with different design every month!) every month at RM39.90!

Here I have Bag Of Love 'Debut Bag' March Edition, let's see what is inside and here is my full review!

I was lucky to received my Bag of Love by hand instead of by courier because I happened to met the founder Mimi over at an event! It is packed in a pink & white strip box, and that is so pretty! looked like Victoria Secret packaging

 Yay love how spacious is this pouch!  

I really like the bag (makeup pouch) concept compare the box concept because no matter how nice the box packaging are, it takes up spaces! Feel wasted to throw all these good quality box away and end up I used them to store my samples and I stacked all this boxes at one corner of my room!

Makeup pouch on the other hand is usable and is really a pretty even as a gift for ourselves or our friends! Now I am using this beautiful pink stripes bag as my daily makeup pouch and the quality of this bag is really good too!

Review : I really like this brush, was taken by suprise that the brush hair is really soft even though it is made from synthetic. I would definitely want to check out their other brushes and if they are on retail, that would be awesome! Now I just can't wait to see what brush will it be for the next Bag of Love!

This is a very nice suprise in the debut bag, although this movie only admit 1 person... I don't mind buying another ticket ...haven't go to watch this yet!! Hope the movie is good!

I am not sure what to buy from Murad yet, will put this aside...

Overall review : I am quite happy with the content of Bag of Love "Debut Bag" March Edition & the products that are given are of adequate of size and has a good mixture of hair, face, fragrance & makeup tool worth more than the subcription fee. My favourite in the Bag of Love is Define makeup brush & the bag itself of course. My only hope is that I do not want to see repetitive products again and I can't wait to see how the next bag looks like ( yes there will be different bags design every month!)

Subscription fee - I would say pretty reasonable.

Axiata Cup 2013: Up Your Game!

Are you a big fan of badminton game? 

If you are, I'm sure you heard of Axiata Cup before!

Axiata Cup is a regional badminton event, now in its second year, sponsored by the Axiata Group, one of Asia’s largest telecommunication companies. The Axiata Cup, featuring top players from around the world, is the richest badminton championship with USD1 million in prize money. The Axiata Cup will include 8 teams from ASEAN and Around the World. The championship is sanctioned by the Badminton Asian Confederation (BAC) and the Badminton World Federation (BWF), and organised by Total Sports Asia (TSA).

And with the semifinals match going on happened this Saturday, Axiata has came up with Axiata Cup 2013 apps for smartphone user!

 Axiata Cup 2013 apps is not like any games app because it actually allow us to follow the Axiata Cup closely by providing us the latest news, results, player info, photo gallery and other info and updates on the matches.

The current standing as Axiata Cup 2013 as for today! Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Asia teams is now in semi final stage and they will be playing on 13 April 2013, this coming Saturday! 

So if you are not at home, worry not because we can actually stream live matches on our phone! Awesome right? 

 While waiting for the real match, why not we try our the Axiata Cup 2013 game apps!

 

We get to choose the gender of the player...

Actually it would be nicer if Axiata has avatar for Lee Chong Wei or other famous badminton players rather than we only get to select Male or Female player because definitely I want to choose Datuk LCW as he has this never give up spirit which I always admire! 

This game is really easy to play, as we only need to flick the shuttercock and shoot it over the net to score! On the right top ... 3 blue dot represent the number of chances we left fo the game. Each game comes with 3 life chances!

This is a really interactive game because you gonna really have tofocus and make us shuttercock don't fall on the floor and flick over the net for you to score & stay in the game! And if the shuttercock fall on the floor, means you lose one game life. Also if you did not get the shuttercock over the net, there is no point given.

I actually love this game beause not much of intellegence needed on this game and the key things that we need to possess are focus & action!

In Level 2, the level of difficulty has increased! Got bombs somemore and the speed of the shuttercock is so much faster! 

Not easy to avoid the bomb!

And if I could shoot the shuttercock far across the net, I earn extra 20 points!

I must said this game is pretty fun & addictive and it is just like the fruit ninja game except this one you flick the shuttercock across the net to score! It is getting more exciting as we reach the higher level because more shuttlecocks will appear in a shorter period of time... hence no time to take a breath also!

 

Go go go check this out because I am going to continue with my game to compete with my bf!

WeChat 2013 Party in Neverland

 I still remember just year June I attended WeChat launch party and there are 200 bloggers who are invited!

Well this year I am invited again to attend WeChat 2013 Party in Neverland and I think the numbers of bloggers attending the events is almost similar.... so it's more like a blogger party :D

This year I with my girls, Wendy, Ju Li, Pauline and Sharon and first thing we do is of course take a picture at the backdrop first...like usual... well I think we spent 15 minutes here... posting and re-taking pictures with different cameras :P

Because the WeChat has a lot of fun feature... and my favourite is SHAKE especially when I am bored....which means I just need to shake my hands to detect any nearby WeChat users...remember you can make new friends flirt but you cannot cheat if you are not available okay!

Review : Vanity Trove Malaysia Beauty Box, Temptress March edition

This Vanity Trove beauty box have been lying on my desk for the past 3 weeks ever since I received them. I was really excited when I got hold of them but ...when I opened up the box and see what is inside...it falls short of my expectation!

This is my second time I received my box from Vanity Trove (check out the Feb review here) . 

There are a total of 7 products and 2 vouchers in March 2013 Vanity Trove Beauty Box Temptress edition , let's see the details

A total of 4 different brands are included in this box , and this time around only have face products only compare with the Feb edition where there is a mix of hair, face and even body products! And I must said when I saw the content I was pretty disappointed especially when I found out some of them have got Asian Potions Hand and Body Lotion in their box and I have 2 tubes of the same items.

Kanebo Lunasol Skin Fusing Powder Foundation (10.5 g) in OC02
RM 140 (casing sold separately at RM 60)
-Provides a shine-free appearances with SPF 20PA++ power formula, giving your skin a smoother and radiant complexion.

I did a review on this foundation 2 years ago and this still remain as my favourite foundation. Check out my review here . As much as I like this sample, unfortunately the foundation colour that provided in the box was too fair for me, I could use OC03 or OC04 only.... hence this would probably go wasted.

Lunasol Smoothing Makeup Base (30 g) - RM118
A makeup base with a light, moist texture that controls uneven skin surfaces and dullness. Smoothes areas of concern, such as visible pores, and leaves the skin silky smooth.

This is not something new to me because I have tried this many times because SA always gave this samples when I purchase lunasol foundation.

Sensiplus Hydrasilk Gel Tonic (140 ml), RM 138

Sensiplus Hydrasilk Day & Night Cream (50 ml), RM 188 

-Sensiplus Hydrasilk Gel Tonic works to soothe and moistures one’s delicate and irritated skin, while the day and night cream protects allergy-prone skin against environmental stressors and helps relieve itching and irritation of skin.

My first time to come across this brand... shall try them out maybe one day!

Bio-essence Bird’s Nest Bio-energy Firm & Brighten Eye Cream SPF 15 x 2 tubes

-Nourishes skin with Bio-energy Fluid & Bio-Bird’s Nest Extract. Lightens dark circles, firms & brightens eye contours, smoothens fine lines & wrinkles.

Hmmmm not a big fan of Bio Essence but nevertheless will try it. I just help to wonder why did Vanity Trove gave me 2 tubes of the same samples? The purpose of people subscribing beauty box is to get different samples to try out, hence having 2 same samples from the same brand defeats the purpose. Hope VT would not give 2 same samples anymore.

Timeless Truth Orchid Extract Replenishing Mask : RM10 (per piece)

  

Whitening, Brightening, Moisturizing, Anti-aging, Clarity, Prevents Dark Spots, Reduce Uneven Skin Tone  Comes withEar flaps also ensure that one does not miss out their neck area and to further increase firming effect.

Received 2 vouchers in this Feb Vanity Trove Beauty Box. 

The TT Mask discount voucher entitle us for a 20% discount for next online purchase & Kanebo voucher for makeover or makeup lesson is valid for 3 months. 

As much as I love vouchers, I would prefer to have products to try as thats the whole purpose of the beauty box subscription.

Overall review : Like I said in my Feb review, this is one of the most expensive beauty box subscription in Malaysia (RM60/month  this month onwards is RM50/month   ) and definitely we are expecting something more than what we see in Temptress March edition box. I think the samples that are provided is inadequate and not properly distributed especially when some of us are getting some different stuffs. And of all things, I would think only the TT Mask & Sensiplus brands are new to me. I really hope the next box would be better. Well I had a sneak preview of it ...over in the FB.. and think it's better than Temptress edition box but I have yet to see it myself.
