TIPS : Recyle your chipping nails colour and gives a fresh new design!

Hey lovely people, are you having your Monday Blue! Let me cheer you up by sharing my tips on how to recyle your chipping nails colour and gives a fresh new design!

I guess everyone loves it when nail polish looked pretty & nail when it was it first applied right? So after a week or two (depends how well you take care of your nails), the nails colour at the tip of our nails usually began to chipped and looked really ugly. And that's usually a signal of us to visit the salon or DIY ourselves to remove it & re-applying it with a new colour. Don't you think is a waste of money & time sometimes?

Instead of the hassle of removing & applying a total new colour...I have my way of keeping the existing nail colour even when the tip of the nail colour has chipped. And it save your time & pocket money too!

Recycling the base colour of the nail colour & give a touch up!

So after a week more or so when my nail polish started to chipped instead of using the same nail colour to fill it up (which is boring) , I used a different colour and give my nail a fresh new design re-cycling the same colour base which I applied a week ago :) Rather than the tedious waiting period, applying at the tip nail only takes very little time!

I applied Max Factor Sunset Glossfinity Sunset Orange (if not mistaken RM22/10ml) and this is one my favourite colour from my stash because I could never go wrong with this! This bright & pigmented orange colour makes me happy.... as my fingers looked fair & it is so easy to apply! Not only it dried up pretty fast, the colour stays really glossy for more than 10 days (more than what it promised!) - longer when I applied top coat on this!

So when tip of the nails started chipping & looked ugly, I applied Ciate Paint Pots in Peppermint (RM52). I feel in love with the colour at the first sight, it is fresh mint green (this colour remind me of tiffany blue).

Instead of applying it like french manicure drawing a line across, I created the melting nail effect to give a little bit design to my nails!

To make sure your nail colour stay longer (double longer for the base colour!) don't forget to apply top coat on top of that! I tried Butter London P.D Quick Topcoat (RM64 for 17.5ml) at Sephora and I'm sold! Dried up amazingly fast & my nail is so glossy and pretty until today... super amazing and better than OPI or Essie ones! I am gonna get this when my top coat at home runs out!

Seriously it is really easy to do & need not much skill...Best of all, your friends might be thinking you just did your new nails design when in fact you just recycle your base nail colour & give your nails a new face lif by giving a little bit touch up !

Saving your time, money & effort too :)

Try them today!

Note: Ciate , Butter London nail polish is available in Sephora Malaysia. As for Max Factor Glossfinity, it should be available at all Max Factor counters.

The official launch of Project Hope, initiated by World Maketing Summit 2013.

Few days ago I attended Project HopeE is hoping to give children from schools, orphanages and NGOs coming from Peninsular as well as Sabah & Sarawak to express their hopes, dreams through arts and craft!

100 children from 4 orphanages chosen orphanage home between aged 8 - 12 years old around Malaysia was brought in for Project Hope launch. Thanks to Airasia, some 40 one were flew in to KL for the event and those children are so excited because it was their first stepping into a plane!

Besides that these children were also treated to 3 days of fun activities & unforgettable experiences, from playing football with professional footballers and coaches (courtesy of Dream Asia, Asian Football Federation), free medical checkups courtesy of Columbia Asia, Setapak and tours of Kuala Lmpur to meeting world-renown Malaysia idols.

Dr. Marceline Lemarie, Organising Chairperson of World Marketing Summit Malaysia 2013 giving her opening speech.

“Project Hope, an integral initiative of the World Marketing Summit Malaysia 2013, is very happy to be able to provide less-privileged children the opportunity to have better futures by exposing them to inspirational personalities as well as aspirational activities. Additionally, the WMSM2013 is very excited to have international brands participating in our mission – it is precisely this mindset of creating a better world through marketing that we want to cultivate with marketers throughout the world: that profit & purpose should co-exist, and that social purpose is the new DNA of business. The delivery of the UN’s MDGs rests on public-private partnership – the shared responsibility of the private and public sector to lift the socio-economic status of the less fortunate resides at the very core of MDGs,” said chairperson of WMS Malaysia 2013, Dr.Marceline Lemarie.

Few VIPs who turned up to be supportive are  En Mansor Abdul Latiff, Generarketing & CSR, Asian Football Confederation; Dr Annathurai, Head of CSR, Asian Football Federation; Christoper Huehn, Christian Rehren, Ambassador of Chile Malaysia to Malaysia, Tom Abang Saufi and Donne Ray of the Platters.

These children is our future and the only way for them to get out of poverty is through education. Hence Project Hope addressed two of the United Nation's MDGs: Eradicating Exterme Poverty & Hunger (MDG1) and Achieving Primary Education (MDG2).

As part of the Project Hope, a selection of the 100 art pieces by the children will be auctioned to participants of the World Marketing Summit Malaysia which would be happening this 28 - 30 September 2013. All the proceeds will be channeled back to the children's homes. Additionally, the three children with the highest bids on their art pieces will receive a fixed deposit in their names which will be made available to them when they reach 18 years old. The winner will receive RM5,000, the runner up RM2,000 and second runner up RM1,000. WMSM 2013 will continue to check in on these children, following up on their development as they grow on their journey.

An extension of Project Hope, 8 BILLION was also launched at the event. 8 BILLON will see the participation of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) from Malaysia to build a sustainable programme to benefit these less-privileged children. The support of the local SMEs in 8 BILLION will increase reach and sustainability of Project Hope’s efforts to address MDGs 1 and 2 (Eradicating Extreme Poverty & Hunger and Achieving Universal Primary Education).

Donne Ray was singing to the media & children after the presentation, ohhhhh his voice is so mesmerizing!

I remembered that  he sang "Smoke Gets in your Eyes" and "Only You" , and these are my favourite songs!

Suddenly Mr Bean turned up, look how excited the children are!

He does look like the real Mr Bean, Rowan Atkinson!

Even his expression looked like the real one!!

Of course he still have his bear with!

Review : Kate Spring/Summer Collection 2013 ; Goldish Eyes Collection with 24k Real Gold!

Last week I attended Kate Makeup Workshop in Pavilion and one of the highlight of the event is the latest Kate Spring/Summer 2013 Collection.

It was conducted in Platinum Room, Level 7, Seventh Heaven, Pavilion KL.

Kate Malaysia invited Mikiya Hirai is a Japanese Makeup Artist to conduct the workshop.

Lucky we got translator :)

Isabelle was the model for the makeup demonstration. This is her BEFORE picture.

Below are the products that Mr. Mikiya used on Isabelle during the makeup demonstration. He would be creating Day & Night look.

Mr. Mikiya used Freshel Whitening UV Gel (RM67) after he removed Isabelle's face. According to Mr. Mikiya, this Freshel UV Whitening has 5 functions i.e Lotion, Essence, Emulsion, Cream and UV Makeup Base. Since it has SPH 26 PA++, it can be used in the morning only. For night, use Whitening Gel instead.

Kanebo Freshel Mineral BB Cream Pore Cover (RM59) , this is something new to me. It's a BB Cream at the same can work to help pore cover. I really like this because I do think my pores looked smaller and face is smoother after using this! Glad to find that the shade is alright on me too :D

After that Mr. Mikiya used Kate Powderless Liquid for Cover (RM79). I remembered Mr Mikaya was saying the liquid foundation will turn into powder in 15 seconds and surely it really turn into powder when I applied on my skin! No need to use loose powder after using this :D I quite like how smooth it feels on my skin :)

Mr. Mikiya then used Kate Cover Concealer for Cover on Isabella, the texture is pretty creamy, well this is not my type of favourite texture for concealer.

I tried Kate Eye Shadow Base for the first time, although this is cream in texture...I only need to use a little bit and I love how it smoothen out the creases on my eye lids and actually help to enhance the pigmentation of the eye shadow!

Let's check out the highlight of the workshop, which is the Goldish Eyes Collection under the Kate Spring/Summer 2013 Collection. I remembered Mr Mikiya told us that in this Goldish Eyes Collection, each palette contains  of two unique gold pearl powders ; i.e Real Gold Pearl, a pure gold pearl powder with 0.1% 24k REAL gold, and Nuance Gold Pearl, a bright pearl powder with a hint of gold. Yes you read it correctly, REAL GOLD... how luxury is it to apply real gold on eyes right... !

There are a total of 4 Goldish Eyes palettes and each palette, you can see the word "GOLD" is embedded on top of the eyeshadows , which means those 2 colours have "real gold" in it.

Below are the swatch for the Goldish Eyes Collection under the Kate Spring/Summer 2013 Collection. Each priced at RM59.

GD-1 is my personal favourite, I like the overall combination of colours of gold, brown and dark brown.

Overall the collection colours looked very natural and with the goldish shimmer it would give a glamorous and sophisticated finishing! And these kinda of natural colour are really easy to apply & suit all skin tone. However I do think the eyeshadow texture is quite powdery to apply and colour looked really light in reality.. and in order to let the colour looked more pigmented, the eyeshadow base is definitely a must here.

This Kate Shiny Eyelid Liner is part of the  new launch in the Spring/Summer Collection 2013 too! Very easy to use & the shine is not too overwhelming. Perfect to use at the lower eyelid to make the eyes looked more dolly!

Kate also have Mascara base, Volume Gel Mascara & New Lash Extension Mascara (which is the middle one) RM59. I heard that the curved fibers can give 5mm lenghtening effect to our existing lash!

Others Kate products that Mr Mikiya used on Isabelle.

The day look at Mr Mikiya created on Isabelle

The night look (party) version.

For night look, Mr Mikiya said shading is important to make the face feature looked sharp. He showed that the shading stars from the cheek bone all the way up to the side forehead.

And now is my turn to try on the makeup!

Naked face - a compulsory Before picture

p/s: Got to take with flash because the light in the room is quite dim :(

Well I followed exactly the tutorial in the booklet given in creating the Goldish Eyes using GD-1 palette.

My after picture

How do you like my makeover which I did on myself :D

Close up on the eyes makeup I did. The goldish shimmer is fine and shimmering and it must be because of the pure gold ingredients in it I think

Look, can you see the BLING shimmering on my eyes!

Must be the gold bling bling I have on my eyes that brings me luck..because during the workshop I won a set of Kate Goldish after answering correctly during the Q&A session! Yay!

A picture of myself with Mr. Mikiya Hirai. He was really friendly and keep checking on my makeup when I was doing mine. And he nodded and said... good ! *happy*

Me & Farah Hany, one of readers whom I invited along to the event...I knew her few years back and now she is now a web designer in Nuffnang office :D

Looking at my picture, I quite like the Kanebo Freshel Mineral BB Cream Pore Cover & Powderless Liquid for Cover because my face looked pretty flawless & fresh here!

So what is your favourite pick from the Kate Spring/Summer Collection 2013?

EOTD : Rainbow Eyes Makeup with Make Up For Ever

Yesterday I got some time to kill while waiting for an event to start, so Sephora KLCC was the perfect place to loiter and to check out some stuffs. While doing my beauty rounds, I looked at the mirror & thought that my makeup looked so plain. Then I remembered that morning I was in the rush to go out and just simply did natural brown makeup.

This is my "rainbow eyes" after playing with the colours !

And I am feeling so good because been some time I have not really play with colours because I always have to do quick makeup before I got to out out in the morning :)

I always wanted to try Make Up For Ever Aqua cream and since all SAs were so busy serving customers, I went on try out Aqua Cream colours to "brighten up" my look. Those marked in stars is the colours that I picked up; i.e Pink Beige, Warm Beige and Intense Blue for their existing collection!

I also picked up some of the colours from their latest Aqua Summer Collection ; i.e Delicate Pastel Green & Deep Iridescent Mauve! The green is so pretty...!!!!
The Aqua Cream is an ultra-pigmented, long-lasting waterproof cream. Highly concentrated in mother-of-pearl pigments, it provides an immediate color intensity with a luminous finish. Its long-lasting formula will not crease or smudge under the most extreme conditions.

Oh  I love love love these Aqua cream, so easy to use...and seriously wanted to buy all those colours that I used! There is no real technique and I just use my finger to it glide it through.... so easy because the texture is so smooth...even I was applying on top on my existing eye colour. The Aqua cream colour is vibrant and really long lasting! Each Makeup Forever Aqua cream selling at RM 95

Aqua Eyes is a waterproof liner pencil. Highly pigmented, its unique formula adheres to the eyelids and doesn't run or fade even under the most extreme conditions. Its fluid, creamy texture glides onto the skin and doesn't irritate the eye contour.
I also used Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes too! Picked up Gold, Majorelle Blue and Turquoise! This eyeliner is creamy, glides on smoothly and the colours are so pigmented! It stay on the whole night without smudging or anything....and this is really making me falling in love with colour eyeliner! Each Makeup For Ever Aqua Eyes is selling at RM 64 (if not mistaken).

I applied Warm Beige Aqua cream all over my eyelid and from inner of my eyes applied pink beige.then applied a little bit of Delicate Pastel Green & Deep Iridescent Mauve as I applied outward. At the corner of the eyes I applied Intense blue Aqua cream.

At the first half of my upper lid on the lash line, I used Turquoise Eyes pencil eyeliner and finish it off with Majorelle Blue. To enhance the look I used Aqua Liner in Gold on my waterline.

Note: In the morning, I am using Lunasol Skin Modeling Water Liquid Foundation OC 03, Jane Iredale Pressed Mineral Powder in Warm Sienna, Lavshuca Melting Eyes OR-1 palette, K-Palette Zero Kuma Concealer 01, Nars Orgasm Blusher and Maybelline Cat Eyes Colossal Mascara.

To finish off the look, I simply picked up a nude pinkish lipstick from Laura Mercier & applied Benefit Sugarbomb Blusher :)

Do you like my rainbow eyes makeup ?

Should I do this more often?

p/s: Maybe I should dig out those pigment and colourful eyeshadow to play with...one of these day!
