Review : Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Cleansing Oil

Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Cleansing Oil has hit the store for about a month or two. It contains high purity olive oil as their main ingredient ands their signature Hyaluronic Acid which suppose to hydrate skin and will not skin feel dry after using it.


I remembered trying this a while ago in one of their workshop and it feels quite okay. And I was told that this Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Cleansing is reported to sell 1 every 4 seconds in Japan. It promises no parabens, mineral oil, fragrance, alcohol and coloring. This is a one step makeup remover, where no additional oil makeup remover is needed (though sometimes for heavy eye makeup I would prefer to remove it first using makeup remover wipes)

Well it promises no parabens, mineral oil, fragrance, alcohol and coloring. And I love it when there is no mineral oil because mineral oil tends to clog my pores ! And this definitely is a good try for people with sensitive skin and wants to something which is mild for their face.

The cleansing oil comes with clear liquid although it looked yellow from the bottle. Even though this consists of olive oil extracts, the texture of the cleansing oil is light and it reminds me of my Kose Sofymo cleansing oil . However the later on has mineral oil as its main ingredients.

Review : I pumped a full pump of the cleansing oil and massage it on my whole face (remember to close your eyes when you massage on it) for around 2 minute and slowly added in water to emulsify the oil until it turned milky. It cleansed up my makeup quite well including waterproof mascara too, however do note that I need to massage a little bit longer on my eye area when I am applying heavy eye makeup. And even when the cleansing oil gets into my eyes, it does not sting my eyes. And my face feel soft, not feeling dry after using it and best of all it does not clog my pores because it does not have mineral oil. And I do think I will re-purchase this!

Pros :Cleanse up makeup well, not drying on face, face feel soft, affordable price, no parabens, mineral oil, fragrance, alcohol and coloring

Review : L'oreal Paris Revitalift Duo Powder Foundation SPF30 PA+++

L’oreal Revitalif range was launched back in 2007. It consists of complete skincare range and today they launched L'oreal Paris Revitalif Duo Powder Foundation SPF30 PA+++ for anti-ageing protection in a makeup form. Comes with a plastic red packaging which give it a touch of luxurious and exclusivity feeling rather than the boring usual white, silver or black cover.

It was stated that this Revitalift Duo Powder Foundation which is ultra gentle in texture but tough on ageing will give your skin total anti-ageing care with its potent formula that works not only to combat ageing signs but to also give your complexion instant youth. It claimed that fine lines will be smoothed, wrinkles will be reduced and features will be illuminated, giving you a fresh and vibrant complexion.

This Revitalift duo powder foundation comes with a soft sponge! There are 2 steps to apply this

Step 1
Ultra-gentle powder foundation: Charged with Adenosine, it smoothen fine lines and wrinkles with an instant lifting effect. With light, short strokes, apply in downward direction to even out under eyes and blend out unevenness.

Step 2

My Review : I found that the powder foundation texture was surprisingly very fine and smooth. Pores looked less visible and laughing line look less obviously and most importantly it does not look cakey on my skin! Apart from that, this foundation give quite a good coverage as it is able to even up skin tone and lightening the pigmentation.

And I like the highlighter which was included in this compact as it is much more convenient to use and I use it sparingly as I do not want to look too fair on the highlighted areas. And the SPH30++ formula came as a bonus to me (when I forgot to put on my sunblock) as I would still apply sunblock whether or not I am putting on makeup.

I would think this is a good buy from drugstore/pharmacy considering it is quite a good foundation considering the price.

Review of DKNY Golden Delicious EDP & Unveiling DKNY First-ever Million Dollar Fragrance Bottle

Wondering if any of you know that recently DKNY has launched a new perfume to the family of DKNY Delicious. DKNY Golden Delicious Eau De Parfum is the newest, most regal apple of the DKNY Delicious collection.

I attended their official launch of this perfume few months back at Garibaldi Italian Restaurant & Bar in Bangsar Village 1. I love how the place was beautifully decorated with golden decorations.

DKNY Golden Delicious embraces a radiant modern spirit with the contrast of glistening florals and delicious heat. The top is a refreshing medley of Orange Flower Water, sparkling Mirabelle and signature Golden Delicious Apple. The heart introduces an intoxicating bouquet of White Rose, Casablanca Lily, Vanilla Orchid and Muget, while the finish spices up the freshness with a sensual blend of Musk, Sandalwood and Teakwood. It’s a scent created to tantalize the senses—bask in its rich elegance as well as its imperial glory.


Echoing its name, DKNY GOLDEN DELICIOUS is a gold transformation of the iconic Be Delicious bottle. The cap and iconic oval DKNY logo are a glistening metallic and the rich, clear glass reveals the gold-tinted juice.

Review: Personally I love DKNY Delicious collection. However DKNY Golden Delicious would be my favourite because this has stronger floral smell while preserving the signature Delicious Apple smell. The smell is more warm, tempting and sensual compared to the DKNY Be Delicious Apple which is more fresh. And since I own both of the perfume, I would think Golden Delicious would be a great perfume for night while DKNY Be Delicious fragrance which is more light and fresh smell is suitable for my day use.

In the event, there was 2 good looking men in black guarding something . Everyone was curious and wondering what was it !!!

Review : Maybelline Hypersharp Liner

A while ago I blogged about the launched of this Maybelline Hypersharp Liner and I have been having using it for a while before writing this a while.

The eyeliner came in a form of pencil and it like it that way as it is easy to hold and control, like here I can use it and used it to write it like a penci.

The color of the eyeliner is black and as mentioned in the earlier post, this eyeliner brush diameter is at 0.05mm. And when I swatched the eyeliner, easily I can draw a thin line

It is stated that the eyeliner gives you long lasting effect for 24 hours, 100% percent water, sweat and sebum proof as it has this unique hyper-coating polymers that set a strong film on lashes upon application. Hence it protected your lashes against the elements leaving you with the just-applied effect.

My review : I tried it on my eyes, and I love the fact it is easy to draw a very thin precise line that is as close as to my eyelashes and how it came in a form of pencil which is easy to control and easy to carry around.

However the one swipe of color black is not that intense as I would like it to be and I need to re-apply it to get the intensity of the color that I want, which is fine with me.

Lucky for me I do not have oily eyelid and the eyeliner seems to stay on me quite well throughout the day. However I discovered that the eyeliner is not that smudge proof, especially. I discovered that few weeks ago when my eyes was sensitive with the contact lens and keep blinking and there is a bit of tears and when I carefully dabbed away my tears... to my horror, the eyeliner smudged a little..

If only the formula could improved a bit better, I could be glad to have this eyeliner pencil both in my makeup pouch & handbag as the price is affordable.
